Defective spark plugs on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R SE?

- Received yet another memo from Kawasaki Malaysia to bring @RideWithVee 's ZX-25R for another recall. This time it's to replace the spark plugs!
Apparently a certain batch of the spark plugs were defective and could cause misfiring, so the directive from Kawasaki HQ Japan was to replace them.

Hey brother is zx25R available in your country?(Base version black color)...how much does it cost?
Yes they had it last year 2023 but now it's replaced by silver/blue scheme. The black looked more grey though. Over here in Malaysia, there is only the Special Edition and RR version available, the RR is ONLY race green. For SE the body price is almost MYR 34,000 before OTR.

Bought a new zx10r 2023 last year. Never reached a year of usage and the mileage was under 8k, my bike got misfiring issues too. Had to change to new spark plugs after that. Now it’s running fine but I’m a bit gutted lah bcs I have to pay for the spark plugs even tho it’s still under warranty.
Sorry to hear that! At least it's running good now. Did they mention why it was not covered under warranty?
@@thesighbored Contacted kawaski careline today, they said “oh spark plug tk cover dalam warranty, sama macam tayar” 🙄
@@hairilnazari4371 Mileage dah berapa sebelum diagnose issue spark plug? I can understand if like you used it for a long time and it wear out, that's normal. Macam tayar pakai lama dah botak memang tak boleh claim. Tapi kalau baru pakai like a week or something, tayar ada belon (structure tayar rosak) itu kira defect bukan sebab wear and tear. Maybe you should try to submit a claim to the tribunal pengguna.

Kawasaki Modenas have a lot of manufacturing, assembly and production issues.
For the ZX-25R these issues are not caused by Modenas, these are issues with bike chassis/spark plug, hence directive from Kawasaki Japan to perform the recall.

Ada beberapa service center yang buat process recall ini. Recall ini tak melibatkan semua ZX25R, hanya serial tertentu saja. Kalau nak kepastian, boleh tanya kedai dealer yang jual motor kepada kamu, atau contact careline Kawasaki Malaysia untuk check.
For future reference, how much is the spark plug cost?
Since the recall was free, I didn't know the price. I'll find out next time.
