    I’m on my second set of these on my FZ10. They are incredible!

    I have Metzelar m7rr on my Street triple and like them better than the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa that were factory fitted. I feel more confident with the metzelars when the weather is not very warm or the road surface is less than perfect. I usually ride for pleasure on dry roads but sometimes you get water running onto the road from when it rained the previous night, these tyres cope well in that situation. I got caught in the rain one Sunday morning and didn't feel the need to ride so cautiously as on the rosso corsas, the metzelars just didn't seem too bothered by it. I find the m7rr rear wears very evenly with no noticeable flat spots, so you maintain that same feeling you get with a new tyre. This is really good as it maintains the handling.

      So your saying these are better than the Michelin road 5?

      What are they like cranked over to the edge?

  • @ReshardsAutomotiveWorkshop

    Man, I just got a set of the M7 RR... THEN leaned the M9 RR is going to be available soon. 🤦‍♂️the M7 will be replaced. Perhaps this is a good thing. Now I can properly compare them.

    Nice review thank you, these tires are being put on my XR right now. Question: what do you do for chain maintenance on the XR? Do you use an auto oiler?

    • @BHPBikesuk
      @BHPBikesuk  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks :-) I don't do any chain maintenance really. I oil it every now and again but that's it. Most modern chains have o rings so not a great need to. An auto oiler is fine but I see it as a messy pointless task :-)

      An auto oiler is rather useless imo for these, and rather useless in general. All it does is completely cover your cat box in chain lube and sticky dust. Wouldn't even think about buying one.

    I have had these on my s1000r for the past 9000km. Now just down to the wear indicators, both front and rear. Includes two very hot tracks days. Minimal squaring off, but most of my riding is rural roads as I actively avoid motorways because I find them boring. They have been great, and retain grip on wet and junky roads so the marketing spiel seems to have some basis. Will be replacing them with another set.

      I have 2mm left on my rear... and done 7000 miles :-) I am happy with them for sure

    Hello guys, I am here just to ask a question : how fast to they heat from a stand start over night. I am used to Michelin pilot sport 2ct which get hot pretty quick.

    I'm assuming that this Metzeler is now also made in China? This didn't seem to be a topic or concern raised in your video. Great review though, thank you.

    • @BHPBikesuk
      @BHPBikesuk  Před 5 lety +1

      I am not aware where the tyres are made... and to be honest I assume everything is made in china these days :D I am still rolling on the exact same set of tyres and I think I am near 10K on the clock :D I will be sticking with them :D

      @@BHPBikesuk Germany mate - says it on the sidewall. These are a great tyre and I think so highly of them that I have put on 3 pairs across 2 bikes. I am keen to try the new M9rr, however, due to the brilliant mileage I am getting, I doubt I will need to see them for about the next 2 years.

    I had these on my XR and they were really great.
    But HOW did yo get so many miles ?
    They were done after 3k miles (4500km) and i didn't push hard on de gas !

      I tend to choose really twisty roads and not sit on motorways so maybe thats why they lasted so long.
