  • This was fun to make and I was surprised with the results. I may have a new favorite scooter less than $1,000

    Im trying to pick this one or NIU KQI 3

    • @ptsnu
      @ptsnu Před rokem +1

      I discarded the kqi 3 because it’s heavier, was between these 2 but went for the max because of the self healing tires and better breaking power and the chance of adding the external battery in the future

      They're all comparable, I'd be happy with either one

    How would you compare the OKAI Pro to the Apollo Air 2022?
    I just commented on your Apollo review. I had an OKAI Neon and loved it. Felt like the ride was a bit stiff on certain bumpy roads, but I absolutely loved that scooter. OKAI's folding mechanism is perfect super simple to fold/unfold if you're running errands.
    Got myself an Apollo Air and I'm super excited about it. I just hope I'm not too annoyed by its folding mechanism and the latch bit. Look a bit too cumbersome. Awesome review again. Thanks for sharing!

      I'd choose the Air, there's less techy stuff which I prefer and you had a smoother ride, locking mechanism takes maybe 5 seconds longer than OKAI, all depends on what you like really

    Purchased 3 Segway Ninebots - 2 where the 30max. All three had issues and had to return them I'm so glad I did not buy those online or I'd probably still be dealing with some kind of mess. The Okai controller looks cheap. Other than that it seems pretty cool. I have a GoTrax G4. Will I like the OKAI just as much?

      Sound crazy OKAI looks better period,controller to. That big Azz basic ninebot screen all scooters have lol. The screen changes on OKAI,lcd

    Call me biased, but I'd always favor the Ninebot Max. The durability of that scooter is just unrivalled at any price point. There are thousand dollar scooters that wish they were as durable. It's practically waterproof, and as self healing tubeless tires, which is AMAZING at that price

    As a current Okai ES30 owner I like to pass on a warning to all my fellow scooter enthusiasts thinking about purchasing this scooter or any scooter in the Okai line. These scooters have defective braking systems that are very dangerous and can fail at a critical moment and get you killed as it almost did to me. I am currently in a rehab facility after spending nearly 3 weeks in the hospital due to the injuries that I suffered while riding my scooter to work. On November 27th I was on my way to work riding my Okai scooter down Riverside Drive. I experienced total brake failure while approaching an intersection and I could not stop my scooter and ended up plowing through the intersection when the light was against me. I got run over by an SUV and nearly killed. I suffered multiple injuries, including a shattered right femur which had to be corrected with an iron rod, fractures on my left foot, fractures on my left wrist, a fracture C2 in my neck and a fractured skull. The so-called electronic braking system the scooter is equipped with did not engage and did not help me slow down or stop. Basically all you have is the one manual brake on the left hand of the handlebar to stop you and if that fails then God help you. Furthermore, if you need service on your scooter and I still under warranty you're out of luck. OKai has no facilities here in the United States to provide service for their scooters to honor their warranties. If something goes wrong with your scooter-- and it doesn't matter whether you're still under warranty or not--they have nowhere to send you. To all my fellow riders out there who are considering purchasing an Okai scooter, I highly recommend that you think twice. (If you have any doubts about what I'm saying feel free to contact me and I'll show you pictures of my injuries) Peace.
