Gerald is a really. nice guy and definitely a genius. I've seen him play in San Francisco a number of times, and he's always been fantastic. Very approachable.
Still love Voodoo Ray after all these years. Four year old daughter does too :D

A pioneer of acid House
Definitely a musical genius
Gerald worked in Mac Donald’s when I worked in western jean company next door!on Market Street.
Pitty there ain’t hour and a half interviews with 808 state
An tr808, an SH101, a tb303 and an early mpc/sp1200 or some other sampler and they were making tunes that still get played 35 years later.
No DAW, just joy of pressing buttons and twisting knobs and it still grooves now. Much better than the nonsense on radio today.
Salute from Tottenham,London,UK!
Shout out to North London !

Pretty sure he used to come in Nova press in Manchester where I worked as a trainee printer in the mid late 90's we used to print Club flyers for places like sanky's soap and stuff, a lot with 808 state highlighted. seem to remember him but it might not have been. its a long time :D I was only 16 back then I'm 41 now.
