My ol drummer was in Hurlant back in the day and toured with Helstar. James Rivera offered to buy Guy Elder's car once then took off wothout paying and went to Hawaii, lol. Every time I see James I go up to him and say "Hey, Guy Elder says Hi!" Lmfao
You are very lucky because Metal Blade didn't make any vinyl lps for this one. I didn't see a vinyl record of Nosferatu until I bought one through a different label from overseas. It was 2016 when I finally got one, now it's been re licensed and printed by many in various countries. But I think Metal Blade still has not ever printed any vinyl of it to this day.

In fact, it's so heavy and deep that the solos get boring. But I like that it takes you to many places before the song needs to be replayed yet again.
It is the one and only... Unfortunately, all other Helstar album, falls short next to Nosferatu's musical/tecnical superiority... Nosferatu is the Best... Period...

3-4 years ago, I've found this album when I'm searching for speed metal songs for our little song challenge/competition, I've won that week with Aileiaira and Everonn. Since then, that song is in my all time favorites, this album too. Now, I dont know if this album is classified as speed but one thing I know, this album is a killer. Underrated as hell
Their Best album by far. I was 19 when this came out. I have tried to listen to many of their albums after hearing this one. But there just wasn't anything that made Me interested. I've seen them more then a few times, real good in concert.... I wish that My love for them was....eff it! I Only like this album and a few songs here and there on other albums... but not enough to buy the entire album.

@@FuraFaolox They fit quite well in the American Power Metal genre which tends to have a more aggressive and Thrash sound than European Power Metal..however he has a point in that Helstar is heavier than most USPM Bands, and use more dark and sinister melody
Well, the early death metal bands listened to all types of 80's metal, and some of the "power" metal bands verged on thrash anyway. Agent Steel, Sanctuary, and yes, Helstar could be quite aggressive and heavy. Chuck from Death at one point asked Warrel Dane (Sanctuary singer) to sing for Chuck's second band, Control Denied.
This album is arguably the most underrated technical metal album ever written. Masterpiece doesn’t do it justice.
I like how much neoclassical influence I hear on this record. Incredible guitar playing.

One of the best power metal albums of all time and sadly a hugely underrated band.
Blood Eagle 88 it’s US power metal, which has a different sound than European power metal. Much more akin to speed metal
