I had the honor to tune Joe's piano for his Berlin show of the same tour in November 1986, as well as for many other Joe Jackson concerts in Berlin, often including delivery of rental pianos, last time in 2010 (unfortenately today he is using digital pianos). It's a big pleasure to work for someone you are such a fan of!

Saw this tour at Poplar Creek Music Theater, Hoffman Estates/Chicagoland. Totally blew me away! Superb in every way: sound, talent, performances, selection, execution. A non stop barrage start to finish. Always throwing solid jam at you. I’d always know of Jackson, but after seeing this very tour, I was over the top and a fan ever since. Talented musicians, great song selection, and Joe, arguably, at his zenith.

Hardly anyone in the audience, yet Joe Jackson played and sang his heart out. I appreciate that. Reminds me of when Indiana State University scheduled ELP to play right before finals. Most people were in the room cramming for the finals, yet ELP played their hearts out for the few who attended. ETA, at the end he said "selling out the place." Sarcasm? Joke? JJ does have a sense of humor (or humour).

    Joe Jackson is an icon.
He played 2 sold out shows at the Pabst Theater in 2018...I would take JJ over Elvis Costello any day.Graham Parker is no slouch either

I 💘 Joe Jackson particularly because he jumps genre
Duke Ellington And Jumping Jive are classic nothing Scares JJ!
But I have to ask why a British citizen sees fit to bash an American president in JAPAN? ?
I really hate it when musicians drag politics into entertainment especially when they come to the USA and make bank however talented they are.
Don't get me started on Neil Young....
Cant we agree to keep music pure???

The thing is Joe is not only a musician, but also a lyricist, and a pretty talented one.
You gotta accept him as he exactly is ! 😉

#DigitalGlitches on this. What happened to the perfect audio of the original video of this show? Are those on here now because of copyright issues/CZcams or what? Other live shows by artists on their moneymaking copyrighted material play with perfect playback sound. Some have ads inserted. Some don't.
