- This week we tackle trail 12 at Windrock! It's a black trail, rated difficult by Windrock. The trail is long with many uphill rock gardens and many creek crossings. It was a lot of fun; we definitely recommend this trail if you're out at Windrock.

Sorry about the audio from one of the GoPros, I think Steph’s open exhaust ruined the microphone or something. Unfortunately I didn’t realize it until the editing process!
Great video. I think gear reduction is definitely needed on all three machines and bigger tires for places like windrock. With that you, steph and dude will be crawling all over stuff like that👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks!! Steph’s machine actually has gear reduction from the factory! She just needs bigger tires.
I was there Saturday and did these in my bone stock 21 ranger highlifter crew. They've gotten much worse since this video. One of my favorites though.
Nice!! Definitely a fun trail.
@@SomewhatHaggard yes sir, I've always had rzrs and mavericks so I didn't have much faith in a ranger crew doing what I like. But it did amazing, obviously it wasn't as easy for me. But I had to get a family rig for the kids. Great videos dude I'm subbing.
Yeah these machines continue to surprise and impress me with what they’re capable of. Thank you, I appreciate it!!
Looks like it was a good time. 🍻
It was! Windrock is a blast!
Great content going of job
Thank you!!
great video
Thank you!!!!!!
I havn't watched many vids of the channel yet but id say Steph is the better driver here. Maybe it's the terrahooks. They were #1 on my list as I got carnivores right now but looks like they don't like the rocks to much.
You may be right about Steph! Her gear reduction makes everything look so smooth compared to the pro xps. She definitely make’s better line decisions. The terrahooks are bad on the rocks. I had them at 5.5-6 psi for this trip and that helped (compared to 8psi our last windrock trip), but still not in the same conversation as the zillas and the crawler xg. I’ve already got a new set of tires on the machine lol. Thanks for watching!!
@@SomewhatHaggard they worked great on everything else like soft/sand and hardpack as well as loose stuff? Just not rocks I'm assuming?
Yeah for the most part! There were some deep rut situations on our previous trip where a little more sidewall bite would have been nice. For regular trail riding they do fine. Rocks and the harder technical stuff I’m not a fan. You can get through it with them, but it takes a lot more momentum.
@@SomewhatHaggard I might have to get rims with new tires so I can have the benefit of both. Thanks for the info. Had the carnivores in west Virginia so far and they did great. But where I live it's looser pact dirt and not many rocks but some roots. Not that they don't do well still but I think it can be better with something like the terrahooks. Cheers
Thanks! 🤘
How do you like those High Lifter trailing arms? Did that make a big difference over the stock ones?
So far they’re doing good! They make a big difference with the additional clearance, they don’t get hung up on everything. At windrock they took some hits and are still straight, just some rock rash.
When is the gear reduction video!😉
Not sure yet! I’m hoping to do it this winter, but we’ve got other stuff we’re doing first. The pro xp’s definitely need it!
@@SomewhatHaggard I ride my brakes over rough sections so I don't smash into stuff
I hear ya!
Bro, you do NOT need that shit music!! Trust me, we ALL wanna hear the sounds!!
The music situation is lose lose, I get complaints that say no music, different music, more music…. There’s no way to please everyone. Sometimes I have no choice as I need to drown out music from people’s machines. I personally ride with no music for filming purposes but it’s not something I’m forcing everyone to do.
