Glad you liked it bro! For creatives, definitely focus on making a strong and catchy hook (with your visuals) in the first 3-5 seconds. Then follow that up with an intro of your product, the problem it solves (or the outcome it achieves), show how it works, then add some testimonials (UGC footage of ppl talking about it if possible), then a CTA at the end.

You should be doing both! I always look at the ad level first, though. Once you narrow down towards your best ad, then you can just look at it from the adset level and see how it performs.

if one of your creatives is doing bad in one of the adgroups and you disable it, what do you do about the rest of the budget put onto that adgroup that isnt being used? or do you delete the creative in the ad group thats doing back and swap it for a new one?

Why did you choose Complete Payment as your optimization event? It seems to me that the Pixel will learn less effectively when the store hasn't been scaled yet if we go for the bottom of the funnel (since it will occur rarely). What do you say to this?

When you say turn off the adset? R u talking about the ad group or the ads within the ad group? Let me know thanks
Ad set = ad group. I use these terms interchangeably because FB calls them “ad sets” and TikTok and most other platforms call them “Ad Groups”
Hey Tay, thanks so much for this vid. I'm finally at the stage where I've got the ads made, my site done, and started running ads at midnight last night. Happy to share -- I got a sale!! Very stoked, so far spent $50 but know I can pare that down by turning off ineffective ads. Question: Some ad sets have spent $10+ but have 0 clicks with more than 200 impressions. You said turn it off if CPC is more than $2 but in this case, there were 0 clicks so no CPC. Am I right to turn that off too? I figure good ads should get at least 1% CTR so I took your advice of waiting to see it spend at least $5 to turn it off. Also do you factor CPM into your decisions at all?

My question is, when you say, if you are spending $20 and your product is priced at around $100 it'll be hard to see a sale on day 1 or 2. But you mean $20 per day in total or per ad set? I understand you test with $20 per ad set, 5 ad sets. Thats $100 per day. Even at $100 per day with a $100 product, you think it'll be hard to make a conversion? Did I understand right? Thanks man

What I meant is that it may be hard to see a conversion on the individual adset itself if the budget is $20/day.
However, if you have 5 x $20/day adsets, you could potentially end up with at least 1 conversion out of 1 of those adsets.
Just don’t expect too much consistency out of that adset though.

As far as your product strategy research goes, besides looking at recent activity, do you factor in the amount of likes or shares an ad has to determine if it is in fact trending or going viral? If so, what would those numbers look like (likes, comments, shares)? Appreciate it bro thanks
There’s no specific number i really look for. I just like seeing people commenting in a very recent period of time (ie. 1 hour ago, 2 hours ago, 1 day ago, etc).
If the comments are within 1 hour ago, then you know the ad is going viral.
But you also need to verify with something like shophunter to see if the store is actually getting sales.

That’s alright, but i wouldn’t spend more than $100 total if i didn’t see at least some add to carts, initiate checkouts, or purchases.

Yes, you can definitely make another creative with a combination of UGC and product demonstrations in the same video. Then you can test another creative with UGC only, and another creative with a product demo only.
At the end of the day it’s all a testing game and you never know what creatives will work until you test it.

Is a niche interest strategy better than broad? I have been using a broad advantage shopping campaign, but it's not doing too well.. I just want to know if niche is more viable than broad. My broad strategy has been going for 4 days at $50/day with 0 purchases.
I wouldn’t recommend using advantage+ campaign when testing. Your pixel/ad account needs a lot of data for it to work well.
It can be worth testing smaller sized interests depending on the niche of your product.
But if your product is broad, just stick to broad interests (not adv+)

Would you leave it broad everytime ? Even if you have a product for couples or for Equestrians for example ?
I typically only test products that appeal to a broad market, so that’s why I always leave the targeting broad. Generally, it’s a strategy that works best with Tiktok ads no matter the product you test.
If your product is extremely niched, then you can maybe try a couple of adsets with some interests. But still test a broad adset alongside it

What's the issue when you have great CPM's , on Average in the $10 range sometimes less, but you're still BARELY breaking even... something isn't right. This wasn't for a drop shipping item for my clothing brand, and I've never seen it perform so good yet horribly when it came to converting on the website itself. Now I'm attempting to dive in for drop shipping, CPM's are no where near as good as what they were for my brand assuming the creatives suck

But if you’re running ads and gaining traffic by it, then YES you can choose a particular area or region to sell into, which is effective as well if the product requirement in that region is demanded.

I used to use rules but because FB ads reporting is always inaccurate, i just manually pay attention to my ads with TripleWhale.

My actual CPA is around $25-27 due to missed conversions on FB. My AOV is around $75. The COGS takes up around 30% of my total sale price.
I've noticed that my Ads that are optimized for "Complete Payment" frequently cost more. So achieving the CPC under $1 isn't realistic for "Complete Payment". Am I the only one experiencing this?
