Manager exits can normally be seen way before it happens because it comes after a string of losses and poor performances. There have been a few instances though where a manager leaves at the most unexpected time and it takes everyone by surprise especially the fans of the club. Let's take a look at some of the most unexpected manager exits of all time.
We begin the list with the most recent addition, Edin Terzic. The lifelong Dortmund fan has been a member of the club since as early as 2010 and just finished his second season as manager. In his first, the team lost out on the bundesliga on goal difference on the final day of the season. In his second season, he went a step further, getting Dortmund back to the Champions League final but just slightly losing out to powerhouses Real Madrid. Everything pointed to things going in the right direction but he surprised everyone by resigning in the last few days. His reasons being he felt it was time for a new voice at the club. A big blow for Dortmund.
