    One Module pack. Configure to 40P . Run a single 6 AWG wire up each terminal side. Spot weld a fuse wire from same 6 AWG Wire to each cell. Your done. Good for A55mp Conterminous legal. 60A no issues. . I configured the packs to 7S 24v. Neat , Tidy and works just fine for a Power Wall.. Two such packs your good for over 120Ah continuous No Smoke. . Nothing being stress or over ampted. Basic 7S BMS works just fine.
    The same Idea works with my 6S Nissan modules too .

    These are old Uber JUMP Bike packs. These are 36v nominal packs, 42v full, 30v dead. They are close to the voltage of 2s solar panels. These cells are very energy dense. They have an internal bypass diaphragm under the (+) button. Also, be careful removing the BMS, you can easily rip the cell connectors.

    • @Sylvan_dB
      @Sylvan_dB Před 4 lety +1

      power tools use 5s and some call it 18v but most are calling it 20v now. With 40 cells in a pack you could do 8p5s (but since these are not new cells you might have a bad cell or two so maybe only 7p5s).
      these cells are nominally 3.7v and range from about 3v to 4.2v.
      18v / 3.7v = 4.86 so round up to 5 unless 5 * 4.2v = 21v is too much.
      4 * 4.2v = 16.8v max

    Would these be good for an RV + Solar power bank that's going to run lights, air conditioning, fridge, & pumps?

    • @catch22frubert
      @catch22frubert Před 4 lety +1

      Honestly, LiFePO4 prismatic would be a better bet for you in an RV, and it would be much easier to build if you are going for 12 or 24 volts. But, As long as you do the math and size the battery pack properly, these would be fine for an RV + solar bank. It's just a little more complicated to put together the pack These cells are capable of 10 amps maximum each, and Ideally, you don't want to run them at maximum all the time, so make the pack bigger than your maximum needs will be. I would recommend picking up 10 of these battery packs, for 400 total batteries. If you plan on doing Air conditioning, I recommend doing 36 or 48 volts for the air conditioning to keep current draw and wire size needs and cost as low as possible.

      @@Richard-Freeman No problem. There are a bunch of different ways to get the job done. Just do your research, and the math for what you will need as far as watts/amps, and you can do any number of systems that will work. Just remember, higher voltage systems will pull less amps, and you can use smaller wire all around, so I recommend at least 24 volts. Good luck with your build.

    Bought a pack, and the cells shipped to me are averaging 2,900 mAh with 25mR internal resistance using the LiitoKala Lii-500 on full NOR test. I was hoping to get results like he indicated in the video (~3400mAh). The ones shipped to me were about 85% the capacity as indicated in the video. Pretty sad since the "tested" packs were all high mAh, and the ones shipped out are not.

      @catch22frubert Před 4 lety

      Completely depends on what you are trying to do. Prismatic LiFePO4 doesn't work well if you are building an ebike battery or something where size really matters. You can get a lot more energy in a small space with these or 21700 cells. I really want to build something with Samsung 40T's.

    People who use these cells need to be aware all lithium batteries require charge balancing. Otherwise, a lithium fire can start which you CANNOT extinguish. A 2,000F lithium battery fire creates its own oxygen if the cathode is overheated, which is caused by dendritic growth shorts. This defeats most all fire extinguishing methods. Under-discharging lithium cells can also start a fire. This is why the battery pack has a charge balancing circuit board. Only use these cells in a device that already has a charge balancing system for each cell.

They've reached France and got stuck (dangerous goods) even though the company had all the permissions to ship them. Now I have an account with a forwarding company and I ship all my batteries to them, only problem is that they cannot forward a package that arrives from outside the EU. It sucks but at least I can get lipo batteries that are stocked in the EU.
