I don't understand why the government would object to clean beaches.

+Andrew Murphy because they were too lazy and tight to do anything about it.

This is a propaganda piece directed against Brexit. There are Governments on both sides of this example - British on one side, EU on the other. The message of this propaganda video: it's somehow better for the environment INSIDE the EU.

no it isn't. this is how we got laws to clean the beaches because HM government didn't care. it took fines from the EU to get them to do anything. what is it with you ppl, is history biased against you as well?
btw, if you pay attention, the same thing is happening regarding the air pollution in London right now.

dmitriy40 This video was just stating facts but as you nicely point it out. Yes the EU is good for our environment.

raverdeath100 It's also a fact that Putin is corrupt, however if the BBC constantly posted videos showing how corrupt he is without reporting corruption by the UK or US government (for example), that would be propaganda.
To reiterate, propaganda doesn't mean the information is inaccurate. "Propaganda is a form of biased communication, aimed at promoting or demoting certain views, perceptions or agendas".

Beaches, like the one in the south littered with scraps of wood from our fishermen's old ships? The graveyard of our fishing industry because the EU sells our fishing rights to other EU nations? Those beaches?

+Tom Chetwynd-Stapylton That does not even really matter. You can cherry pick some nice things about the EU and try to hide the undemocratic monster it has become. The past WO2 hippy dream is past due. There are better ways of keeping France and Germany from war than to tie us up in this horrible monster. Europe is a lovely continent and we like our neighbors but we do not want the dictatorial EU. Better it blows up now, because we are on the way to a civil war.

+Tom Chetwynd-Stapylton We can debate the future but nobody has a glass ball. I wonder, for 1700 years GB did a nice job by itself. Of course other European countries will make trade agreements with GB. It is your last change to take charge about your own future. Our referendum result in holland about the association treaty with Ukrain (we said no) is blocked by the EU. All power is for the cooperations. There is non left for the people. We just have an extra layer of undemocratic politicians in Bruxel (and France!) burning our money. about 1500 of my tax each year goes to this circus. Our old people can literally rot in their poop because no money. We have no army anymore to defend ourselves. The euro thingy costed all Dutch people 30% of our wealth. Europe is the biggest mistake in the last 50 years. The stupid idea that nationalism is always bad and we need a big Europe without states is a dream. I am proud to be Dutch and I am proud to be your neighbour. But we do not need to share the bathroom and the bank account to be good neighbours. Look at Europe, shouting at North Korea, working together with Erdogan. Saving banks by sucking out people. I can only say please vote Brexit. For you, for us. This monster has to go. o, about being part of it to transform it. You were part of it a long long time. Why would reformations work now while you did not manage before. Its like staying part of -name any dictatur-, because we might be able to change some things. You will survive, England will not sink into the ocean when you vote no.

+miepmiepzoefzoef I forgot, but there's so much that gives a bad taste about Europe, humans do not want TTIP and CETA its selling humans to big multi nationals. Nobody gains except big cooperations. In Holland you now can earily fire your workers due to new laws asked for by Bruxells. In France now the same is happening. It will come to the UK too

Better vote remain ! The way Brit politics are going,we're to be governed for two decades by the Tory & Unionist party.....We need the broad shoulders of the EU more than ever.
Except viewers in Scotland who with Devolution can pursue another direction, grow in confidence, then leave this rumpUK to get on with things.

+Margo Macdonald At least we can *elect and remove* those who govern us in our parliament, the same cannot be said for the EU oligarchy of unelected, unseen and unaccountable officials.
