not really, a solvent and dissolution has two distinct meanings. Not all solvents can dissolve a compound, so when dissolution solvent is mentioned, it means a solvent that can dissolve the particular compound of interest. The fact that you never heard of it, doesn't mean that it does not exist. It just means, your less exposed to different terms
Stop saying "dissolution solvent": "solvent" is enough. In 27 years as a chemist I do not recall anyone ever saying "dissolution solvent".
