We'll also discuss everything Hawks' did in his life before he was introduced during the Pro Hero arc in season 4. Some small details about his past will be revealed in MHA season 5 but most of it will come in the later seasons.

Hawks was first introduced as someone who quickly rose up the ranks of hero society in MHA. This video will cover everything there is to know about hawks' life from his early childhood up until his first appearance in the my hero academia anime.
Hawks’ real name is Keigo Takami and he was born on the outskirts of Fukuoka. This is a city located on the island of Kyushu and in the real world, the city of Fukuoka has a baseball team literally nicknamed the Hawks. In his childhood, Hawks’s father was a low level villain called Takami, and he had been on the run. Takami was also a known thief, but he managed to evade the authorities thanks to the help of Tomie, who was Hawks mother. She had a quirk that gave her a pair of levitating eyeballs, which presumably allowed to observe things from a distance. Her quirk is similar to how present day hawks can send out his feathers using telekinesis and then sense the things happening around them.
Tomie and Hawks were then approached on the streets by two agents from the public safety commission, with Tomie being made an offer she couldn’t refuse. In exchange for handing her son over, she would get indefinite financial support from the safety commission and have all her connections to Takami erased. That meant that she wouldn’t get in trouble for any of the crimes she helped Hawks’ father commit, plus being able to start over in life with all that new cash.
Needless to say, Hawks was separated from Tomie in that moment, and going forwards the safety commission made him give up his name. Keigo Takami was no longer something that he was called, as they had the unique opportunity mould him into a special hero with no ties to anyone. Before entering the special hero training program, they informed hawks that the training would be rough but the idea of becoming someone like endeavour is what spurred him on to take the opportunity.
Flash forward a few years and Hawks was interested in learning more about the league of villains after they attacked UA, so he observed the kids from Class 1A during the sports festival. His goal was to take one of those students on an internship so he could use those interpersonal skills to get some information out of them. His original target was shoto todoorki, but he ended up taking on Tokoyami for an internship instead, as he they are both bird people. Tokoyami felt he didn’t learn anything during the internship because Hawks was too fast for him to keep up with and whenever they did have time to chat, all Hawks would ask him about was the league of villains.
After the battle in kamino between all for one and all might, Hawks was approached by the hero public safety commission with a task that only he was capable of doing. On the orders of the head of the organisation, hawks was told to infiltrate the league of villains and become a double agent. His task was to pretend he aligned with the League’s goals, therefore joining their organisation and passing on valuable intel that could be used to take the villains down. He had no choice but to accept the mission but in actuality his training made him the only person who could really pull this off anyway.
Hawks then secretly got in contact with Dabi from the league of villains, with the two reaching a verbal agreement. Dabi said that he would be testing the capabilities of a nomu and asked hawks to bring someone kind of strong to a specified location, where the nomu could be tested. Dabi would later break that agreement and change the location and date of the test, but that’s just the kinda guy he is.

Hawks backstory is pretty interesting because he could have turned multiple times into a villain, first because of his father's treatment, second by being locked up in this tiny garbage house, third he could have steal from people to live.

4th that his mom sold him and 5th he underwent extremely difficult training underneath the "Hero association". 6th He was forced to be a double agent, going against everything he believed heroes to be.

This story is honestly really depressing and not even with his relationship with his father. The fact that hero society took him manipulated him this much just doesn't sit right.They used him and made him into their own personal soldier at a young age. It goes to show just how messed up it is, he should have had the freedom to just be a kid. It's obvious that parts of him still care to be at peace.

I think the only thing I'm interested is in is how Hawks got his Quirk. In part 2:50 of the video, we see that his father doesn't have the same Quirk as Hawks. Hawks's mom has an eyeball Quirk. Maybe his Quirk is a genetic mutation (like Eri's or Shigaraki's)???
His dad has feathers on his arm so clearly some type of bird mutation and his mom clearly has some kind of foresight or psychic powers thru her eyes so a combo of his moms ability to see (echo location) and his dads bird quirk
Very, very late response but I do have the answer you're looking for.
Hawks technically has two segments of his quirk.
1. his wings
2. his ability to control his feathers
The first bit, having the wings, is easily explained by his father having feathers on his arms. The feathers just manifested into wings, which makes sense when looking at the way quirks evolve through lineage.
The second part, the ability to control individual feathers, come from his mother. His mother had eyeball-type things that she controlled telekinetically. Since he didn't get passed on the eyes, he got the telekinetic control of the feathers.

One thing I can say for sure is that Hawks was *_h e l l a_* adorable as a kid.

I love hawks' character for multiple reasons, one of those being that his character provides 2 very important and new perspectives.
1. Up until hawks was introduced, the only major perspective we had of endeavor was shoto's, which obviously doesn't paint endeavor in a very good light. To the todorokis, endeavor is a horrible and abusive father. From hawks' perspective, endeavor is a hero who saves people, and who saved him from an abusive home. This adds more depth to endeavor's character as well as giving hawks a backstory.
2. Before hawks was introduced, public safety didn't play a huge role. They are the ones pulling all the strings and maintaining order behind hero society. They test the students for licenses, count votes for hero rankings, (most likely) regulate hero course education to some degree, etc. Once hawks' backstory (and later lady nagant's) is revealed, we see how corrupt public safety is. They do want to stop the villains, but they use literal children for their "dogs".

i have a god tier prediction: remember how gigantomachia was trampling through the city and we saw a bike similiar to the one dekus mom was riding, it probably was definitely hers since it wouldnt just be random and if she hadn't died we would of seen her with deku at the hospital in recent chapters, horikosho probably using this to introduce dekus dad since he would comw back if his wife died

I'm not a very emotional person when it comes to sad backstories. There's been scenes in animes that grown ass men has cried for, and I would hardly show any sign of sadness. But, even tho hawks backstory isn't the worst, it still breaks my heart to see the emotionless eyes he had as a kid.

Sooooo having a quirk that pretty much cooks you inside out isn't "bad"? Being born to only be someone's successor then tossed aside like garbage and be replaced by someone better. "Isn't as bad"? Look not hating or anything, but don't invalidate someone's struggles and compare the two. Granted hawks is a hero and Dabi is a villain. Their still two halves of the same coin. It's hard to explain tbh so I'mma just leave it at that.
I find their connection and contrast really interesting actually
Dabi was born just for the purpose of being great, but his body being too weak for his quirk made him question why he existed, and he was blinded by his pure ambition of proving to his father that he *can* be great, but was ignored instead, leading to his accident
Whereas Hawks was born out of accident, he was never told he could be great (besides that one line his mom said), was constantly put down and isolated, etc, but him saving those people in the spur of a moment made people bring him in, despite him not really having any ambition for it
And of course the one thing they have in common is Endeavour, Hawks seeing his best side while Dabi knowing the worst

We can see how Enji was trying to protect Toya but Toya kept on craving for attention and overworking himself
The others were pretty much living a Good life in the absence of the truth that was happening and Fuyumi actually figured out there was something wrong But Her and Natsu couldn't do anything about it and that's where their story ends
I know Enji did some pretty bad stuff but if you ask me the only people who really an apology most are shoto and Rei

Enji even asked Toya to stop Hurting himself and try to look beyond him that there are many other things he can do to make him happy
I don't get why people think he had the hardest Childhood, He did have it bad since he wanted to impress Enji and live up to his expectations but he really did too much and now he acts like he's had to go through the worst stuff and if we're being honest, his obsessive personality back then doesn't really Stand right to me. Hawks past on the other hand is quite messed up, I'm glad he grew up to become a Hero and his smile never vanishes because honestly I wouldn't have been surprised if he Turned out as a villain but I am surprised that Toya Is trying to Go that far to the point of wanting to kill his whole family for no Valid reason

I feel that I can relate to some of this,
I'm not allowed to leave my house because my mom is worried that, somehow I well cause CPS to be called/ get her put in jail.
My mom hates me, though I don't really know why.
Good people or "heroes" are things I can only see on TV or anime.
I was not planed, meaning I should not be alive or born.
My family does not have much money.
Feeling useless/ being called useless by my mom.
Not having a good or loving dad.

Tsuyu’s family seems fairly normal in comparison. The ear jack girl seems to have an ok family.
It makes more sense now why he had the reaction he did when Dabi called him by his actual name. I always wondered about that since I figured 'he's the no 2 hero why should it be surprising that people knew his name?' Now it makes a whole lot more sense for him to have the reaction that he did. I've not really read any of the manga so it's probably super obvious to others but not to me.

Welp one thing I can say about Hawks: he isn't even similar to his parents. His father was ugly and mother creepy but he still was cute child and now also handsome man. What is this magic? I don't know why but I still don't like him, to me he seems to be little "sneaky". But after knowing his past I dislike him a little bit less.
