It was more a way to kill a good bunch of soldiers at once, it wouldn't be used like the video shows where the Spartans not only give up their only viable position but completely ignore the fact that they walked into a sea of enemies. Video is fun and all but as far as realistic goes not even close.

Beatles Guitar They were highly trained fighting professionals that been training since the age of 7 i think.
They had become elite experts in attacking really fast and powerful while remaining a big advantage of defense.
Long story short they need to add more options to the scenario so that tactics can be more specific.
7:00 you should have held the advance of the spartans before they hit the opening or mouth of the breach. The whole point in the 300 spartans and the 7000 greeks who stopped the Persians at thermopoly was do to the narrow pass along the ocean cliffs. 2 things can heavily dictate a victor in a battle , numbers, and angles. If you don't have the numbers you better have the angles which is what thermopoly had going for it and the Greeks, if you want a quick victory, you better have both (numbers and angles) which the Persians soon gained in the actual battle with the discovery of the flanking goat path. Allowing the persians to utilize their power in over whelming numbers.
Edit: essentially you allowed the spartans to be out flanked, and added a combat multiplier to the enemy force, which never happend nor would it with the Best fighting force in the world at that time. I know you probably did it to cut time, but still.

When I first saw you advance the spartans. I though you might have some sense when doing these simulations. Next time only advance them to the top of the dead bodies, when the pile in front of them gets waist high advance them to the top of that mound. This way the Persians are always fighting up hill.
This was rather accurate. The Persians were funneled so their enormous numbers weren't useful. The spartans are also heavy infantry so they could easily tear down the light infantry persians. Good game

You forgot the 700 Thespians who refused to abandon the Spartans at the 3d day of the battle. The Thebeans was forced to stay because there city allready surrendered. Thats why they were the only ones who surrendered to the Persians at the end.

This was the best 300 vs 10,000 I had seen. It was the most accurate. The ridge, the Spartans holding, the Persians falling off the cliff. *Was*. You ruined it with the wind and making the Spartans advance and split up. The nuke shit has just gotten boring.

Persians are in medieval armor. The area at Thermopylae is way more flat, Spartans held a wider front. There was a wall there too, across the pass

But the thing is they manage to slow down the persians army for days and drag countless persians to the grave with them. And even if this battle is fake. It still represent how disabled and inefficient the persians army were. Because they failed to invaded the greeks which had 11 times lesser men than them. The 300 battle maybe just a story. But the failure of invading the greek is 100% fact. Every inscription even the persians themselves said they lost the battle against greek. The word quantity but no quality is true.
