The grooming kit is something I often used when I facilitated reminiscent groups with older people experiencing dementia. The artefacts are used as triggers to enable people to recall for eg 'going on a night out.' Recalling the fashion, music dancing, perfumes of the 1940's, 1950s.
Yes, they are so tactile and the smell would also trigger memories :)

It sort of sucks, because it shows how hard this business is. If we don't know what sells, then were all the time challenged on daily basis to find something that sells. Sort of a very tough business. At least a coffee shop knows what their selling day to day. Never easy is it.
