Handbrake Cable Installation Alfa Romeo Mito [Sostituzione cavo freno a mano Alfa Romeo MiTo]

  • I changed the left handbrake cable of the Mito because the wheel didn't turn freely like the other side. Beside that the brake pads worn out unevenly every time I changed them.
    Then there were some noises coming from the back axle whenever I was driving for a long journey, now that I've replaced the cable I hear nothing.
    Notice that the left cable (driver side) is slightly longer than the right and have to be installed accordingly.

    Did the part that goes into the calliper just slide out or is it threaded?

      The cable has a knob at the end and it's hooked to the calliper, therefore it slides out.
