  • Welcome Back!
In this video we are taking a look at what the best guitar amp settings are for worship. The amp used here, the Marshall JTM30 is not your typical worship guitar amp, but we used it anyways cause why not!
The tone we are looking for in a worship setting is something on the edge of breakup, but way cleaner than you'd typically run this amp. This amp has quite a few settings, but the principals talked about should apply to most tube amps.
So if you've been wanting to know what the best amp settings are to get that clean tone that's on the edge of breakup, then watch this video!

Hi guys, and excellent job on searching for the correct worship tone out of a Marshall's amp. I'll do the same thing, got a MK2 Boss head , actually sound the way you want it, 5 variables, rev, boost, delay, you can dial any genre basically, but mine is for worship. Take the gain almost off and with the modulation knob and delay-rev you are golden. Godspeed.

I’ve tried this. It has a weird fuzzy top end I don’t like and it just doesn’t feel like my DSL under my fingers. I’m running through FOH

Nice organic walk through of pulling your tone from a basic amp. Can you show in detail those chords you played with the overdrive when you switched to the bridge pick up?

Hey Freda, Do you mind popping in the timestamp of where I played those chords?

@@WorshipGuitarSkills i use a fender like preamp pedal with other pedals in front. Fuzz , Overdrive, distortion, delays, reverb, chorus, tremolo...
Then i go straight in to the PA.
This fits nearly all my needs. I can use it at home in my small home studio, in our little bigger practice room and in our church in the same way without worrying about being to loud with a to big amp for to small rooms.
      It's completely fine for me.
I don't understand why ppl think worship music should sound like this or that. Just feel free to worship as you like. God don't care about amp settings but he blesses your worship.
      Be blessed!
