    This was a really great review! Currently toying with exchanging a big light box for this. This helped a lot.

    hey cool video and a stupid question from me: how do you make that with the shadow there is a shadow when there is a godox es 45 on the left and right?

      Hi Lukas,
      These lights are dimmable, so we can choose how we want to balance them. Whichever side is brighter will create the dominant shadow on the other side.
      A more typical way to "fill" with a secondary light is to position it closer to the camera so that it lights your subject straight on. The dominant light is kept off axis and creates the character and shape while the fill light adds a small amount of light to the shadow side while throwing its own shadow behind the subject and out of view.
      The "split" lighting that we show (with lights placed opposite from one another) has a particular character to it, but you should watch for cross-shadows. For example, if we had split-lighting on an object on the table, you would be able to see a visible shadow from each light. That's why filling from the front is typically preferred.
      I hope I answered your question properly. Please feel free to reach out to us any time.

    Great review, very complete. I bought two of these lights. I would like to ask two questions: 1 - do you believe I can attach a camera to this bracket, is it strong enough for a Sony ZV-E10 with a 16mm sigma lens? 2- do I need some more front light to be the main one if I already have two godox es45?

      Hi Alex,
      The desk mount and ball head should be more than sturdy enough for your camera rig if you want to use it that way! Just make sure the ball head is locked down tightly.
      As for whether you'll need more light from the front, our suggestion is to use one ES45 up close and at more-or-less 45 degrees (this will be your key light). Use your second ES45 to fill in shadows from the front, close to your camera position (your fill light). Your fill light should bring up the shadows somewhat without getting rid of them completely. This will give you a nice 3-dimensional look.
      If you were going to bring in a third light, we would suggest using it as a rim or accent light. Nice, but not required. Hope that helps!

    hello cool video i have a question can you control the lamp completely without wifi e.g. when the controller is attached to the lamp

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  Před 2 lety

      Hi Lukas,
      Are you wondering if the wireless connection is no longer active when the controller is docked? If so, I'm not completely sure, but I could check with Godox. It's entirely possible that the controller still controls the ES45 "wirelessly" even when it is docked.

      @@Strobepro Did I understand correctly that they would ask for me? if so, that would be really very nice of you. I meant whether I can control the lamp completely without wifi, i.e. the lamp does not have to connect to my wifi.

      @@lukaslhg Hi Lukas,
      No wi-fi required. Even if you undock the controller, it uses a direct wireless connection to the ES45.

    how many hours can be used_?I'm streaming on twitch.. Do you think it will be a problem if it works for 6 -7 hours?

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  Před 2 lety

      Hi Doruk,
      Not a problem at all! The light dissipates heat quite efficiently, and should be able to run as long as you want it to.

    With which cable do I charge godox es45 e Control Panel?

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Doruk,
      The panel charges through the light while it is docked. It can also be charged/powered with a USB-C cable if you prefer.

      @@Strobepro Hello. At 3:25 you put light at a sort of 90 degree angle which is what I need for top down video. Could you lock it at that angle or will it sag eventually?

    • @Strobepro
      @Strobepro  Před 2 lety

      @@jcap8391 The included ball head seems to have no trouble holding the ES45 at any angle. We do have sturdier mounting options if that is a concern for you, but the included mounting should have lots of life in it.
