Welcome to "Where the Locals Sk8" a podcast where we interview local skateboarders from around the world.
On this episode of Where the Locals Sk8, We meet local skateboarder Jason Elrick representing Pomona, CA. Jason started skateboarding in the late 80s and early 90s when "Animal Chin" was the skate video to watch. Once he got his first skateboard from Pipeline Skate shop, he was looking at Thrasher magazines and videos with his friends. His dad would help build DIY obstacles for him to skate as well. We talked about favorite videos and board setup in the 90s and what he skates today. Plus, we get into local skate spot "P Side DIY" and his involvement in the Urban Skate Project. He lets us know about Pawn Shops 'Go Skateboarding Day event followed by the grand opening of Pomans Skate Park. And of course, hobbies off the skateboard and the crazy question.
