Hope someone figures out how to make these thinner.
You can .. just don't use too much product and use a bigger marker for the curve..
You can try putting a thin layer of transfer foil gel down before you put the paper down. The paper will stick down tight. Then you can put a very thin layer of gel over the top to hold it down. Then you won’t have any buckling which will help with the fitness. Just a suggestion.
Watch Korean channels
Yes thin
Less product❤
The one trick I’ve learned with this method is to get the base surface of your nail as FLAT as possible- like the edges of the nail with the extension should be thicker than the center- then rub the chrome(aurora) powder on,& then apply the iridescent film as flat as u can possibly get it(get the air bubbles out), cure it,& then apply builder gel all over to encapsulate the entire nail,& that’s what will give it shape with an apex. File, topcoat, & done. You can even apply another coat of aurora powder & then apply topcoat, if you’re feeling frisky!
I wish someone like you can make an instructional video. I’ve seen so many English language videos to do these and everyone faces some buckling of the foil
I’m ages late but i still think this trend is going strong and after tons of research and tests and my final successful attempt here’s what i’ve gathered for anyone interested:
1. There’s no way to get around thickness. The effect is created because the thick layer of gel acts almost as a magnifying glass so they must be a little thick, however, you can definitely make them thin enough to not be uncomfortable as many have said, by laying the foil as flat as possible.
2. I got to adhere my foil completely flush to the nail (which again, helped in making the nails less bulky overall) by cutting little slits around the cuticle area and sidewalls (if needed and depending on the curvature of the nail) and adhering with FOIL GEL GLUE, it was a game changer in laying the foil as flat as possible and prevent it from moving around when encapsulating; sticking the foil with builder’s gel i find is too much trouble.
I got to make these for a customer and we both loved the result. I used soft gel press ons and encapsulated with clear soak off gel and while they were a little thicker than regular to get the effect, they kept a nice shape and did not feel bulky at all even when looking down the barrel of the nail, laying the foil flat with foil glue i believe was the key.
Thank You so much.. I did so much research I'm so glad I found you. Transfer foil yyyyy !!! 🥰🥰💯‼️
I like that one bubble that got trapped, it makes it look like a water puddle Frozen in time.
too much material for my taste but so pretty! Good job!
I'm used to think nails due to needing it to keep me from scratching skin ulcers, but I think the top layer would be more gel for me.
I agree, I do the aurora foils on base coat and then clear gel if the client wants a flatter nail, she could have done a base, top coat and the shimmer before any foils to lower the usage
Same..
They look a little bulky. I've tried with the stained glass polygel, turned out better than I thought it would. But I had to see her technique.. there was another video I saw, where the girl cut the foil into 3 strips. And just used base gel to adhere the foils. I tried to recreate that but my base gel was too whack ... 😔
@@hetissketis they definitely do look too bulky
Waaaaayyyy to much.... Super thick nails doesn't look that aesthetic
Absolutely beautiful! Love, love the blue on top. I wanna try this design and maybe add some little fishes under the blue. Thanks for doing this stunning design. 😍
That would be cute. Post pics!
Is this lady's voice for real I need her for my bed time stories wow soothing I think I watched just to hear her
Beautiful. This set is amazing, and they didn't look as thick as the others I've watched. I just wonder if putting cling film over the foil before curing would help make the nail a bit thinner? I might try it and see. Thank you for sharing with us. xxx
I'm literally drooling when I see the thumbnail. You're soooo amazing!
Lol me too!
The designs are gorgeous! Also your voice and narration are so soothing and asmr-y 💖🥺
This set is so cool. I love this set of nails. Thank you for sharing this beautiful design with us.
I think they look awesome you solved the problem on how to cork that stuff. I had thought about making those cuts to allow it to lay smooth by the cuticle as well, cool that it work !
Same!
I would have liked to see the sides filed down a bit to counteract the thickness but it is pretty!
Crazy nails, love the colours xxxxxx
I'm in awe Tatyana these are beautiful I would love to wear this set...thankyou for sharing xo 💜💅💜
Just found you and I LOVE THEM!! Have to see more and subscribed
Rlly nice!! The other manicures I’ve seen were really thick and bulky but you managed to make it just perfect 💕💕💗
Love your calming voice!
Ikr! It's so comforting, especially if you can't sleep at night
It’s actually her translators voice. She deserves credit because it is so calming and soothing! I think she does an amazing job narrating the videos. I love listening to her!
@@gretaweiss6802 Very much. The VO artist is amazing and really works well with the videos (nothing against our lovely nail tech, love her work).
Well, I love everyone involved!
@@gretaweiss6802 She does! She does a wobderful job, and as we're all saying, she's got such a nice voice.
I use the dip powder system on my nails. I'm going to try one dip powder dip, then glue the foil on with the base coat, the another dip, in the clear dip powder that has a small amount of colored powder added. Then top it off with clear dip before filing.
I loved the design but I would prefer a different nail shape. Stunning as usual😘
OMG!I was really hoping you would share this design.Stunning!imma trying it!
Those are stunning!!!! My favorite so far. I’m always a fan of the chrome look 💜💙💚❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

I absolutely LOVE the blue you mixed with clear builder gel!!!! These are gorgeous!!
I ordered aurora stickers and cant wait to try! Great job
Such a beautiful desgin 😍
Watching you mix that transparent blue to the clear builder gel was so satisfying. Beautiful finish.
Gorgeous, the blue jelly you mixed was beautiful!
Your voice is so soooooothing omg
I've been requesting for these! Thank you so much 😭😍
Love the effect it made, very pretty. This would def take some practice to make sure it wasn’t thick and bumpy.
I am waiting on some powders to arrive to try this. Great idea to roll that foil paper too
Was you working on your right hand? 😳 wowza skills!!!
Lefties exist too 😆😉
@@erinbyrnes8917 That's not what they're saying. Tatyana is right handed. So using her non dominant hand to create such a beautiful set is awesome. Get it now?
Yes! ♥️ I love this! Such a beautiful Aurora design
Definitely looks like a blue lagoon.
Gorgeous!
Can’t wait to try!
This is the tutorial that i needed! I will definetely try it!
Wow! These turned out beautifully. Your voice is so soothing to listen to. Lovely 🥰
Omg sooo pretty!
I’ve used foil shapes for a similar look. These are lovely!
I love this design! You created an ever more perfect version of the Korean nails I’ve seen. I’m going to give this a try, for sure using your blue tinted gel! That made all the difference!
So STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL! LOVE THEM !!
These are truly stunning
Wow! 😍 best Aurora on CZcams! Love this
I love how they look but they are a bit bulky for my hands
They're actually thinner than they look. If you look at the free edge they're thin.
Woahh they look magical :D
Very pretty! And so is your voice! 💙
Stunning effect! 🥰
Very pretty!
Beautiful!!! I definitely want to try this one.
Those are gorgeous
Nails are beautiful!! Great job!

Cool design.
Wow! These are gorgeous 😍😍😍
Absolutely gorgeous!!!❤
This is so stunning! You did a great job with them! 😍💅✨💜😘
Beautiful!
I think maybe I would have liked this design more if the milky gel wasn’t on the bottom. I definitely prefer the clear gel in aurora nails.
That’s how I feel about it too
Where did you get your cuticle scissors?
My god woman...your nails look absolutly stunning 😍💅....i just love it so much this chrome look nails 🔥❤💅😍
That looks really great.
I like this look. But it makes the nails looking slightly bulky.
They're not bulky though. They're thin. Look at the free edge.
you truly are a master!!!
Loved this look 😍
I love these nails 😂
😍💙😍 love them so beautiful.
So cute!
I have been trying to find out what these were called for a week now! OMG thank you!
These are beautiful! 🥰
I wish there was a way to do this without it being bulky, but the illusion is all in the magnifying effect
Pretty, I wish there was a polish that did this
Can't wait to tag this in a video
These are stunning!! Wondering how they could be a bit thinner, but oh my gosh love themmnn 😍😍😍
They're thin. It's the illusion of being thicker. She thinned them out.
Why don’t they make these foils in the transfer type?
I think you did a perfect job. It looks like you have jewels on your fingers. This would be cool if you put a different color gel on each nail. I know it won’t still be aqua nails, but it would be cool.
SUPER !!!
You are the best Tatyana👍
Can you use the translucent blue gel on natural nails. Can I do this whole process on natural nails. I love this look.
Pretty nails
I love your videos l just can't believe how fantastic they look ❤️
I LOVE them!! 😍
precious. thanks 😍
Every time I try to do these on tips they end up so thick! I guess practice makes perfect. However in the videos I watched from Korea they kept the foil perfectly flat, and then filled in the sides where it stuck up with hard gel underneath. So that way the foil was flat on the nail. Then when you went to add the builder gel on top and tried to create a smooth surface it would inevitably be thick. I also saw a video where they applied top coat to a plastic bag, cured it, and then applied powder to that to make a "DIY foil." I've noticed that a lot of Korean nails with intricate designs are thick, and that they don't seem to mind. I think clients with flatter nails would do better with this design. I think another problem that makes this design difficult is how prone it is to having bubbles. You did a beautiful job as always :)
I’ve seen people use plastic wrap to squeeze things flat, maybe if you try again it might be easier to try that to smooth the foil?
Heat up the foil with a blow dryer when it's wrapped around the pen. It'll form better curve for the nail
beautiful !
I’ve seen people do this but crinkling the foil up and it looks like a mix between ice and opals. Obviously it’s tricky because it needs the volume though and crinkling would probably make the volume even worse but it looks gorgeous.
So amazing!!
Yer I’d try this xx
