Well, I have watched
Pokemon when I was like 5 or 6 years, the first season. Afterwards only
Diamond and Pearl came up dubbed on the television in my country due to
Disney Channel taking over Fox Kids and Jetix, therefore no more
Pokemon for me. Somehow I watched some video on CZcams 2 weeks ago,
with the first season again. So my spark lit up again and I said:
''Let's check the seasons that have been released''. Well, I found out
that there've been many other seasons released, but seeing XY is the
most recent one, I said:''Why not, lets go ahead and watch it!"
Now
here comes the magic. I am 18 now, by the way. So I watched the first
episodes and was like: ''This is so cool, and I finally understand how
the gym battles work and what's their purpose!''
But afterwards.. I saw Serena's first episode. I noticed her blushing and
everything, and I said: ''Oh my.. this is going to be amazing!"
Throughout all the episodes, I've been waiting for hints of Serena's
crush on Ash. I've started watching the first episode about 2 weeks ago,
and 20 minutes ago I caught up with the last dubbed episode. That would
be like 80-90 episodes in 2 weeks. I was so ''fired up'', as Serena and
Ash say.
As a personal option, I don't want to watch subbed episodes
because I am very confortable with each one's voice, and now I can't
switch to something like that. Moreover, Serena's voice actor makes her
be even cuter.
After this I started searching on the internet
about this phenomenon that happens within me, lets say. That's because I
got so intrigued by Serena's feelings for Ash. And also, even more
intrigued that the writers WON'T DO ANYTHING so Ash could notice or
something. I know, I know, you can't just make everything look so
simple. Something has to make the plot be complex. For example, Ash not
noticing Serena's crush, or Bonnie, Shauna and Miette knowing about her
crush.
I just want that spark between them to light up somewhere during their journey, and not in the end.
For me, the best case scenario would be that Ash gets to know about
Serena's feelings and they develop their relationship during the
journey. Then, whatever happens with Ash's League and Serena's contests
results, I just WANT THEM to be together in the next season after XYZ. I
mean, they are just perfect. This is the first time I get so attached
to two characters IN A CARTOON. I don't care that this is a cartoon. I
don't care that the target audience are children. I just want love
between Ash and Serena to happen. I just want them to be together in the
NEXT SEASON, even though, lets say, Ash still wouldn't know about her
crush.
The writers really have to pull something off. Guys, I bet
that they didn't bring up such a character like Serena for nothing. If

It truly feels magical doesn't it? Our stories are not very different Werty. I'm the same age as you, and Pokemon X and Y was the first Pokemon series I've ever watched! Pokemon Y was also the first Pokemon game I've ever played (and I loved it) so I thought it would be super interesting to see a TV show about it.
So I began watching and I was instantly a big fan of Ash; not just because of his awesomeness (jumping off Prism tower?!?! Man, that's cool!) but because I recognized him from my childhood even though I never watched Pokemon. So I watched the new episode every Saturday morning on TV, and I began to see more and more into Serena and I was really excited to discover if she had feelings for Ash... ... and to my, and probably the entire Pokemon fandom's benefit, SHE DID!
After that, I was hooked and I was so enthusiastic about seeing the rest of the series!! I wanted to see Ash battle and learn, and I really wanted to see Serena travel with him and work closer and closer to show her love and appreciation for Ash! This weird feeling I, and you, got whenever Serena blushed and interacted with Ash is a feeling unlike like any other! I know! You love to see these two characters together and you so desperately want them to be together and you want them to love each other!!! It's so hard to explain what this feeling is, but it really is close to magical! You get so happy when you see them together, it feels so good on the inside, and you just want to keep watching and follow them on their journey together! And Also let's hear it for dubs! Much better than subs in my opinion, but anyway.
This phenomenon is something I've been curious about for a long time. I think it has to do with how beautiful Serena is, how she admires Ash (a character I've come to admire as well), and how much we empathize with the character and understand her humanity. Serena herself isn't real BUT, the emotions, ideals, and feelings she has, towards Ash and otherwise, are very real! And as empathetic viewers, we can't help but share these intense feelings of wanting these characters to have love! What I think it is, is we are experiencing the amazing feeling of true love within us just as Serena does and we want this true love to be achieved!! With all he has been through, I think Ash totally deserves Serena by his side. In a way, Ash is a little bit like the character you play as in the games where you are that character; so if I was Ash, I wouldn't take more than a second to answer to Serena's feelings because, gosh darn it, I want to have this love too! Whenever Serena or Ash blushes (or in Ash's case stares intently at Serena in the Fennekin outfit :D) or when they speak with each other meaningfully, we get super excited because love, which is powerful on its own, is working its magic! It's unbelievable, but I believe it is a true, real bond that we share with these characters even though they are fictitious! Of course we love to watch Ash battle, Clemont build inventions, and Bonnie be Bonnie, but the power of the relationship between Ash and Serena brings a whole other level of enjoyment, excitement, and livelihood! And most of all, it's something you really can't get in real life.
The best part is however, is that we aren't feeling these feelings alone. Just look at Linxixy! Linxixy uses this passionate intrigue to make these wonderful videos to show how much she/he wants Ash and Serena to love each other! The phenomenal feeling obtained when Serena cares for Ash and when Ash cares for Serena brings us to an amazing state of mind, a state of mind in which Linxixy can make these beautiful videos and spread the word about the beauty of the true love that Ash and Serena, two cartoon characters, can share. The funny thing about the target age group is that they really can't see the show any differently than we can, but chances are they don't have the capability to make wonderful AMVs like Linxixy has or the capability to discuss the tremendous feeling that Amourshipping gives them. Hahaha
Hope is a great thing. Especially in this case where we can trust the writers to take the Pokemon animated series in a direction both the audience and the Pokemon company will like! I will assume you have seen the rest of the series by now so I'm curious what you think. I personally have been very happy for the passed two days since I saw the series conclude. I feel it truly lifted my spirit so high while also leaving the possibility of an even brighter future for the couple of Ash Ketchum and Serena. Then I started watching these AMVs and I saw your comment, and you helped me realize just how amazing this feeling is and that perhaps I have been in this state of mind for the passed two days. This intrigue with the lovely atmosphere between two cartoon characters, Ash and Serena, is a magical feeling I believe is unexplored, and I tried to figure it out in this comment. It makes me happy not only to see Serena and Ash together but to see other people in this community share this incredible feeling for them! I can only be thankful. Amourshipping forever!

Mayruka681993 i get all clips from nyaa :) just google nyaa and it should be the first one :D for the corner effect, i duplicate the whole layer then use Cookie cutter for the top layer , then the bottom layer i use Gaussian blur and black and white effect :D hope i helped ^-^
