  • In Beekeeping it is a good practice to get all of the equipment to measure the same length and width so that all of the woodenware lines up when the different parts are stacked on top of each other. In this video I show some best practices for assuring that all of the cuts are the same.
    1. Use the same ruler.
    2. Create a measuring stick.
    3. Create stops for each frequently used measurement.
    Measure once, cut many.

Clever! I love it! the second half of this where you show how to create the stop from a predetermined length is genius. Then you label them for a specific length. I have been using a stop for multiple cuts but always made a new stop each time but doing a few for standard lengths and modifying them as needed with scraps from factory cuts that are 3/4 or 1/2 or whatever is great. Enjoyed the video:)

Thanks for watching. I been thinking about making this video for a while, then I saw your video where you demonstrated the importance of “Measuring twice, cut once.” czcams.com/video/gDWccW-uBWA/video.htmlsi=inxck8Uu90nDAEK5. I still agree with that and practice it, I still make mistakes anyway. I thought it would be fun to make a video with a bit of thumbnail click bait opposite the saying. 8-)…. Using the factory pieces was not my idea. I got it from Scott Hendriks. czcams.com/video/Iq4ev-yyxW8/video.htmlsi=dmblQZW9sHyfjoNM . I cannot find the video where I saw it. He is a beekeeper but has a bunch of woodworking videos. You will find that he loves to make jigs. Thanks for watching! God bless and have a great day!!!
