    How fun is this! Going to have to try it when I get my supplies... 🤗🙃🤗🙃🤗🙃🤗 I don't see much or any of the first wood glue burn, but love the finished product. Looks like a feel as you go painting. Fun!

    Beautiful work as always. Thank you. I was wondering how much ventilation do you have in your studio?

    Stunning work. A question, what was the black block of wood you were painting at the end of the video for?

      Hi Ikiezl , Thank you ! The 2 pieces that I did are on 4x4x1/2" cradled birch wood panels. I tape the sides with painters tape while I am working to keep the sides clean without wax dripping on to them. When I am finished I remove the tape and paint the sides with black acrylic paint for a clean finished look.

    Hi Shari, can one use the wood glue burn over a layer of wax or only on the bare wood?

    • @ShariReplogle
      @ShariReplogle  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi Sarah! Another great question ! The glue is heavier and will melt the wax around it if you can get it to burn over the wax. I recommend it as a first layer and then protecting all of that lovely color with the wax and continue to build.

    Nice, Shari! I have a question- is there any difference in how the Gorilla wood glue works verses Elmers wood glue?

    • @ShariReplogle
      @ShariReplogle  Před 7 lety

      Mo Mapes Really great question ! You can use any brand of wood glue , I think you may get some different caramel hues but the effect will be the same . Maybe a side by side comparison is in order :)

      Claudette McDermott what is the liquid that you brushed on.? I wish that you would discuss what you were doing.

    Can I ask....do you find that this work is well accepted in galleries.....I ask because this is something I struggle with, living in the northeast...boats and water and lighthouses are all the rage...yet I am more of a textural abstract painter....torn between what they want and what I love....
