  • I spent a few days in the hospital during the early stages of the Covid Pandemic. We were not allowed to leave our rooms to buy food from outside the hospital so we ate all our meals from the hospital's cafeteria. We were pleased with the quality of food. This is what we ate!

I have been laid up in hospital since 09/16/21 at PIH first. The only meals they served me breakfast, lunch, dinner, was a cup of chicken broth, fruit drink, jello, coffee.
It all ended on 10/01/21 when I was transferred to Kaiser Permanente. 20/02/21, For breakfast I always got, scrambled eggs, with red and green bell peppers, or whatever I asked for, Oatmeal eith raisins, butter, brown sugar. My coffee, I always asked for maple syrup to mix in it!
The nutrition nurse calls me every day to set up lunch, dinner, and breakfast!
The meals here are all outstanding!

The fact that even some restaurants don't carry REAL maple syrup... I've started carrying a hip flask of the stuff.
Half the fun is the looks you get for pouring dark maple syrup on stuff from a hip flask. "Is that rye?! What an alcoholic.. Jeeze.." But it works.
