Oh I was hoping you would do this song. The amount of emotion he poured into this vocal is gut wrenching. Tears fill my eyes every time I hear it. It can not be any other way. Dimash sings with his whole soul, and you feel it. He exposes his entire heart. The picture behind Dimash is of Kenes Duisekeev. This is his professor, a revered composer of whom he he studied composition from at university, Dimash asked and was granted special permission to sing this song for his teacher on his 70th birthday. To quote Kenes Duisekeev, "Dimash finished his singing. Without realizing it, I got up from my seat. I called him, "Dimash, come here, dear, come here! " and hugged him. I hugged him and said, "My dear, God gave you not only a voice, but also a heart, and most importantly, a mind". I didn't expect that a young boy who was not yet 20 years old would be able to understand the depth of this song, its philosophical depth. But in fact, he realized my idea exactly the way I always dreamed of."
Dimash took all the love and the grief he felt from this loss of his mentor and poured it into this song. By doing so he made all of us feel that sorrow too. And you are right. We didn't need to understand a single word of it. We only need to understand the language of the heart. This was the first time I’ve watched this one with you. Your insightful comments took me over that edge that I’d managed to avoid going over before (I’m talkin’ tears). And yes, though we don’t understand the words that he singing, he conveys the intention. We GET the intention, and that’s really all we need with regard to not knowing the language. He communicates SO well with the way he uses his voice, his body, his hands and of course his facial expressions. We understand the context and intention that is there hiding in plain sight behind the words. God, he never ceases to stir up emotions…. Both melancholy (or just a downright sniveling goof) or has my heart and / or my body lifted up and dancing.

This song is from father to daughter, who lives her father's home and getting married. In Kazakh tradition, when young girl getting married, before the wedding all her relatives seeing her off and it calls "Kyz Uzatu".
It is like a initiation to adulthood, girl to woman. And parents, father who were responsible for her safety, happiness and life gives it to his son in law, and it is not so easy to let your lovely daughter fly out from her warm father's home to another, unknown place. And when she living he sings this song for her.
