You don’t want to use step three because step three is a processing lotion. A processing lotion is the same thing as a developer. So when you are using the color remover, the color that is in your hair goes from inside the hair strand to sitting on the outside of the hairstrand. Using step 3 will reopen the cuticle on the hair strand and allow the color you once removed back into the hair. I usually tell people to shampoo the hair 5 times after step 1 and 2 of the colorfix with a clarifying shampoo or dawn dish soap. Which you have already available. The hair will be really really dry after this depending on what your next step is you could condition right after or wait until you are done coloring your hair to condition but I highly recommend deep conditioning the hair when you are completely finished.

Your hair is so gorgeous!! When I bought it the girl selling it to me told me not to use the #3 bottle also...haha...Seeing you do it and the heated part helps me understand how to do much easier than just reading the directions, thanks so much!!
