I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

Quick note: If you want to tame Pt’s easily, Rag highlands is the place to go. If you find a sheep, you can get mutton and there are dead whales on the shore that give enough keratin to craft a saddle. The average time for me on Ark official is around 20-30 minutes depending on the Pt level.
Val pts have better stats, No cap
Just tame a crystal wyvern instead

On Ragnarok, you can hide a base in the North-West cove-rocks. There are tons of metal nodes nearby, and you can use a megalodon to gather keratin from turtles (for cementing paste). Fastest way to get metal structures

For Best start listen:do a note run or if u have a leveled char,go to crystal isles or gen 2 tame a crystal wyvern or a maewing,tame a arthro,scout rag for small bases secret vaults or boxses(recorded using ini files)
I've never had the balls for a pvp server. I get attached to my tames and I'd hate to lose them

I was in a tiny crack is SE through the whole of an arkpoc wipe without getting raided
Whenever I do find a "hidden" base I grind resources for a while, go offline, get raided and then it repeats :(

The problem is raiders watch those videos to a tip is the either be big enough to be able to defend or just hide in plain signt

Thats actually very good guide for unofficial and small tribes servers! But if ur playing official 1x and if ur solo NEVER grind cus grinding on 1x is pain for solo so i prefer go tame pt or wyvern and any lvl artho and tame parasaur get crypod and JUST scout for raids you will get lot of resources as well from raids and you don't need to waste your billion hour and always stay hidden.

Rasclaark the best note run is on Extinction, because you can later take the notes on island to Max level in the swamp cave
Edit: tropical wyvern is better than pt
Edit 2: if you just bough the Game, i would play singleplayer just to know the basics, taming, building, resource location and breeding, if you just join a official server, people is going to Cage you or steal all your stuff, so after singleplayer i would to unofficial (x10 or x5 no more, you can also try x1000 or more ) and then join official if you want
It certainly is. The only reason I did go for a wyvern is its much harder to hide with one initially without cryos.
Appreciate the advice on Extinction. Perhaps I'm too archaic and need to refresh myself on those notes.
It's also so much easier to not die on extinction going note to note. Never lose that XP stack

as kinda of a newbie (about 100 hours of gameplay) I wanted to know two things, first, why would you want to build your base on the crater with a low population server? It seems for safety, but doesnt that defeat the purpose of pvp? if you cant fight many people while isolated there?, and second, do you have videos of the layouts of that amaizing tiny base?, cheeers!
You want to build as Hidden as possible in PvP mate. As for the layout it's honestly nothing special but I'll bear it in mind for the future
I'm doing that currently on a low population server so I have the most safety and go to other servers to raid
For pvp, since the introduction of server transfer which was so long ago, the reason he states go to a low population server is you build and farm on that server as your less likely to be found compared to a high population server and it will be harder to farm on a high pop server. Once your on your feet, got a good pvp kit and want to raid and fight. You transfer over to another server. Once your done pvp, come back to your server, everything loot wise which you got can also be transferred etc

If you are starting out on the Ark you shouldn't have more than 5 people in your tribe because on official most alphas hate when their server is populated because it makes it laggy and more people would want to raid, and another thing do never raid others on the same server as you because that'll make unwanted conflict and beef. But you should play with some people who is experienced at the game so it will make it easier and not having to spend your time months trying to figure it out like me. Everyone Have a Great day.

yeah, cool thinking, but getting all of those levels and recourses takes days irl even with a group of 3. And no matter how hidden you are, you are going to be reset by some dude with a wyvern in 3 days tops.
low pop islands are either empty ddossed or covered the notes Yeah But everything helped me Like i Dident know that the center was a actually a good map to build up I usually go to rag

Transferring is key on ark. Ps4 center official and small tribes is popular though

Hey here’s a better way to get flying:
First you wanna go to Ragnarok and spawn on the highlands SW I believe may be wrong. Then make an axe and farm spoiled meat and keratin from the dead balsilsour’s on the beach then make some tranq arrows and knock out a PT. After knocking them out look for some sheep to feed the PT then after taming go to a drop and transfer.

So I’ve never played pvp or really any online game before, in ark will people try to kill you just bc they see you, or is it a situation where they’ll leave you alone until you’re attacking them or raiding their base?
they kill you no matter what, if you have nothing of value to them tho chances are they take nothing
The only problem on every map when u start in pvp as beginner is that u when u go to sleep and next day u log in ur dead and everything got wiped, so pvp is fun if they gave u a chance to build and grow but restarting everyday got me dam bored in pvp
I feel that this is the ideal place to write about how I started.
1.Spawn in. Go straight to a stone 2 x 3 in the open.
2. Grab a pt and a little metal for a smithy.
3. Off to a rathole we go!
4. Turrets. I like to do 20 heavies slot capped with ammo before focusing on taming rexes and the like.
5. VELOS. Always have at least 5 or 6 below in the process of being raised. Literally scatter them around the area near your base.
6. Play nice. Speak with alphas casually. *Ask* if they need anything such as wyvern eggs and if they can hook you up with some more advanced defences. E.G. Golems, low level reapers, mutated velos etc.
7. Don't be stupid. Don't go raiding before having the above defences. Don't speak in global. Don't execute old tames. (Just put them on wander aggressive away from spawns)
8. Have a backup cache. You dont want to go back to the start.
9. Ik nobody likes fortitude, but if you have around 40, you will very rarely have to worry about temperature.
10. Should probably grab some notes before each large crafting session.
*In regards to tribemates*
1. If they know you have stuff they know you have loot. Say you are at thatch. You need trust worthy, active mates. Remember, if they have a large day count, they are probably insiders due to the fact that in alll their one thousand days, they didn't get built up.
2.Dont make them do stuff besides upkeep of base. So that's getting ammo, meat, berries and maybe a turret every 2 days.
3. Have your leader make personal vaults. Nobody likes a mate who is "just looking" at your stuff.
Apart from building anything in the open I totally agree mate! I'd rather get that PT and get hidden ASAP.
Ehh, it's fine just to get that initial 5 metal.

Ye center is probs not the play, maybe crystal with its wyverns, or ab since it cuts out a step so you can move on to a sneaky base spot which is notoriously easy. Hmmmmmm. Maybe i got to see if i missed a quality in Center.

I prefer ab but center is great, lots of mats easy to hide. Ci for me isn't great PvP because the ass base spots but the farm and easy tames Is sexy. Then again I only farm transferring really with a base on ab. No fliers makes it harder to raid I feel

Yes and no mate. Your levels are tied to that character, which can transfer from server to server through that cluster

my advice would be dont even try on a pvp server that will save you a lot of time cause once u reach a decent stage a guy with tek stuff will show up and spawn some mek to fuck up your base

Haha.. I’ve been killed by my own tribe and then kicked out..every time I start a small hidden base I also get attacked by a lighting wyvern and rock golem even though it’s a tiny cube..
Play single player until you get a good grip on it my friend. And lots of yt. Learn the Meta so no one can use it against you

@@RecruitScarab For real it just takes time. I remember when I always build red ob waterfall near Craig on island and I got raided daily. Just learn from your mistakes.
My experience trying to do that “simple” xp run:
You died of dehydration
You died of dehydration

You killed yourself (falling from too high)
A troodon killed you (took forever because they can’t hit you when your passed out)
Edit: Finally done, pain in the rear with an alpha raptor protecting the second to last note, but man was it worth it (I’m a pvp newb loving this video)

Now it is juts players running around with clubs and beating the crap out of weak players, stealing all their things in the proses. And i spawned at west 2 with half of it filled with random large crop pots with plant x. :(

If he did it from the start in actual smalls he would see how hard it really is. There r no hidden spots anymore everyone knows everywhere, and as a solo u have a big offline timer so u r going to get raided pretty quick. It’s not as easy as you make it seem. Get to that point in real smalls until the end build up and all that stuff and u will see
I promise you mate I will do a smalls lets play after this pve run to put my money where my mouth is. Can't be offering pvp tips if I can't prove it myself!

Don't know, I have quite a bit of success on small as a solo. Guess I have been lucky but I have had my hidden base, which I have not seen anyone talk about and its not been raided for last 4 months. Still playing now and it's fine

Yep solo pvp sucks its like 2 weeks grinding, flying one hour for resources bcs you hided so far your base is small uncomfortable etc and still when u wake up some big tribe RAID you using few Rockets its much better to Play pve chilling taming new dinos and beating new maps learning game, pvp is fun when you have atleast 3 friends when one is taming second mining metal and third transport IT on argentavis or gasbug, this way you progress very fast and only transfer to another map just to RAID in second some small and sad solo beginners which were farming two weeks :( ark pvp is kinda unbalanced comparing to rust - in rust u need a lot of resources to RAID and its unprofitable very often and u can build good base much faster than grind tons of metal in ark and tame a lot od creatures, sorry for my english i AM polish but i Hope you understand me :D
