In this case, 'Dan Ritchie & His Orchestra' was a pseudonym for Lou Gold & His Orchestra. Gold was a very talented bandleader and it shows. This performance was so refined and colorful, and William Robyn's delicate vocal was precious. I loved this, thank you so much for sharing this superb rendition!
Been collecting these tunes for over fifty years. Just when I think I’ve heard ‘em all, roybo1930 unearths another find. That’s what I love best about these melodies, there could be another pearl discovered along the ‘Golden Sands’ .
Thank You! It is indeed! and the funny thing is I have Chant Of The Jungle up on my wavepad for declicking! And I have a wonderful NML copy of Moonlight On The Ganges I am going to post soon as well!
I liked Your comparison so much of the two songs "Moonlight on the Ganges" and "Chant Of The Jungle", to this song "Golden Sands" I'm going to dedicate the Fred Hall's version of "Moonlight On The Ganges" , to You! Hope You enjoy!
Just the talkie prologue tune for the Hippodrome theatre to drop its old painted "pyramids of the Nile'' curtain & the 16 chorus girls dust off their old "Harem Girls Idea" costumes and go into their exotic desert dance. What would the talkie be? How about "Morroco," with Gary Cooper

Thank You so much! Boy this would be a great song for a picture like this!
The most ever paid for a movie poster is $690 thousand for "Metropolis" in 2005.
A brown record?
When was it recorded?
Thanks! December 9th 1930!! I always put the date on the label at the first of the video, as well as composers, if possible!
@@roybo1930 Sorry, I missed that! Thank you!
