I felt so bad for Mark. Yeah he almost did a terrible thing but he immediately realized what he could've done and stopped himself before it was too late. You can clearly see the guilt and remorse he feels.
Because phil was exciting and a tuff nut, and she saw mark as an easy target and boring, it's phil that she always wanted .she just used mark that's all yeah it's not nice to do that to someone, but it's true and it happens in real life.

Funny how Todd Carty was heading out of the show at a time when he had to be the show's hottest commodity!!!!! I mean I could've imagined this storyline being red hot back in the day when people didn't know how it was going to play out.
people did know how it was to be played out;it had being leaked months before that both todd carty and lucy b were leaving , the big question in this plot was is what happened Lisa as she vanished in mysterious circumstances for a year.

One of the only times I’ve seen Peggy get the upper hand on Pauline. Peggy was one tough woman but Pauline always gave her a run for her money and she never hit Pauline back either.
I think Mark spoke to Martin in the square, told him to look after Pauline and drove off on his motorbike just to get away from everyone for a bit. He would come back Christmas that year.

And then later script writers and bosses like John Yorke pushed for this too and in keeping with Julia Smith's plan Richards became a battleaxe over a prolonged time. By the late 90s she did become a miserable cow and in her last years she was radically transformed from her earlier nice personality to what we got. Richards herself was critical of how the writers made her so bitter in her later years and openly criticized it. She hated the exit story line.
