- Forza Horizon 4 has released on Steam as of March 9th! As such, I figure now is a great time to put out a sort of new player's handbook to help beginners succeed in their Horizon careers. Got tips of your own, or want to ask a question about the game? Let me know in the comments! |

@@2kgamingchannel i dont get it
@@kimi1845 Why?
this game truly has something for everyone
photographers, tuners, JDM aficionados, die-hard racers, time attackers, everything.
and that is what makes it so special.
Game for every car enthusiast,i thought fh4 is overrated until i downloaded it few days ago. Best car game ever...
@@user-ch4ge9tg8w I have played FH1 and FH2. Since 2014, no open world racing game is as good as this franchise. Was so glad they said it was coming to Steam.
@@user-ch4ge9tg8w hi I just got the game, how long does it take for u to unlock a lot of the map and be able to cruise around with your own cars?
@@Cl-vl4lu 6-10 hours depending on ur pace
@@Cl-vl4lu you unlock the whole map when you start! Itâs just the races and stuff like that that take time to unlock
Nailed it! It's never too late to start this game. I'm a long time NFS franchise fan boy. I picked up FH4 about 5 months ago and cant believe what I had been missing out on.
Me too. I've been a ps4 user since 2014 and just got a Series S a few weeks ago mainly for this game. I tried to like the crew games but couldn't. This game is so fun.
Same here. Quit the psn with my son and changed to X and S. For me FH4 is an unbelievable good experience, loving it. Actually FH4 was the reason why we changed the platform after more than 20 yrs.
If only we had the customization of NFS, then forza would be the KING
Same here, Forza is so much more complicated than NFS which I love, finding steering sens was a bit of a struggle tho,
While I love Forza, nfs just smokes it out of the water
I like how the game isn't about grinding. This game is about collecting the cars you want. It's the kind of game where you just want to collect them all, and then see what you can do with them.
And like you said. Fast is not always best. No point in going fast if you have no traction or control.
I can't wait to get my hands on that Honda Civic Type R. It's the closest i'll get to my real life car. It's such a great car to drive.
Wait till you try this game with a wheel I just got it on my pc with my g27 and it changes th game completely lol itâs so fun
@@SBMMBOOGIE I bet. I already have a wheel. But i'm planning on setting up a simulator. It's easier to have one setup for simulation driving, and another for normal gaming.
Expensive though...
Use sim steering and manual with clutch on controllers
I wish it was more grindy, I know that sounds weird but I wish it feels like I earned the cars I collect, I want to take time to finally get that McLaren dream car rather than get it so quickly and easily.
@@elia8544 Depends how grindy. Most people don't have time to play 10 hours every day.
They could calm down with the wheel spins, make them less frequent.
Or even just tweak the chances of getting a car in wheel spins. Essentially making all cars rarer.
Just got forza on steam so this video's got perfect timing.
I've only been playing for a couple of weeks too with game pass on Xbox #latetothegame and it can seem very overwhelming for a while but it basically comes down to picking a car you love and make it, as powerful as your comfortable with and the game will match you with similar players.
Did you pay the full hundred for all the DLC?
@@rays73 Exactly. I really started to enjoy the game when I found cars that I liked and that I tuned and painted well. I think it opened another door for me to enjoy the game even more.
Steam summer sale: *exists*

Yes
Hahaha yeah đ
just bought the gameđ
Hahahahaha just bought the game too
Can you cross play with Xbox? I got gamepass for 1 dollar and am downloading the game
I really hope people who are new watch this... please. I have explained so many times about the PI system. The game really doesnt go into that as much.
In races do race againt real players? Or is it like the crew against the computer
@@p996ii_lazer_ii4 u can play online or offline
Do you need to finish first in the offline races? I keep coming 2nd but the game doesn't really give me any incentive to do the race again to try and win. Is there any need to finish 1st?
I feel like this was made for me
I made it just for you đ

Overall a good starter guide. I don't see anything missed. Great job.
If I had this guide since the beginning, I didn't miss any seasonal events ... very clear as usual!
Man I wish I had a guide this good when I started.
Everything in this video is true and great for a beginner.
My 10 Forza Horizon 4 tips: 1.brake In a straight line, trail breaking only helps at the highest level if you can do it right. 2.Get your deadzones just right to be as smooth as possible. 3.Try outside the box ideas when building a car, rally suspension is surprisingly good when lowered. 4.Learn to drive on slow 2wd cars as fast awd are the hardest to truly push to the limits. 5. Watch videos that teach you about real driving and how things like suspension work (Driver61 and Chain Bear are great for this). 6.Meta cars are just good overall so try different cars to really go the fastest. 7.Looking at rivals leaderboards can tell you the best car for each track within a class. 8.Focus on your own line when driving to help with stress. 9.Rollcages are almost always useless in horizon. 10. Remberber to have fun, dont let other people ruin the game for you. Great video as always Hoki
Just got the game on steam yesterday and im so excited to dive in. The forza community seems so authentic
The first head to head race I did I won and the opposing racer was so friendly and wasnât salty or mean
Man, I've been so excited about Horizon 5. Today I pulled the trigger today on GamePass just to download Horizon 4 to hold me over until 5 comes out.
Coming from a Motorsport 7 player, with this being my first time playing Horizon... wow. Idk how I've been missing out on all of this for this long
One of the best racing games ever in my opinion :)
Me: Feeling comforted that it's fine that I enjoy driving a B class 1930s Bently.
Old cars are the bee knees
Currently saving up for that beauty
@@kxvtr1 i gotta get me a 2020 GT500 but theyre super fuckin expensive. :/ and i can afford it but it would put a good dent in my money.
A Class Trueno, and Mk I GT40 are some of the other really good/fun ones too when tuned
Man I think I found my guy to teach me all the things about Forza Horizon 4, I found your channel 2 days ago and I have been watching most of your Forza reviews and tuning videos, I must say you are amazing at what you and you seen like a really nice man!
Welcome, FH4 steam players! Hope to enjoy it! See you in online races!
yeah and dont try to drag with 599xx's and Supras, good day !

Is this only for steam players? I bought the game on my Xbox one...
Have like 2 hours on the game and you have no idea how unbelievably helpful this was thank you!
This is incredibly helpful. Iâm still quite new to the game and itâs near addicting. I love the barn find mechanic the most so thanks for the drone tip
Thank you for this video! Yes, I bought it on Steam, first time returning since the very first Horizonđ , so I feel like noob, but with the Forza Horizon 1 experience. What really helped me was the info about the tuning, single and multi player and overall, when to dont mind certain things and when to start minding some like the mentioned tuning. So again, thx much, really helped and Im definitely subscribing right now! đ
Great video, I wish I had something like this when I started playing forza 3+ years ago! Your previous videos on tuning helped me so much. Definitely sending this to my mates that just got it on steam.
Man this is the first racing game I've ever played.
Oh I got this recommended to me at exactly the right time. Thank you.
I'll be going through a lot of your FH4 videos as I have no clue about a lot things. Specially tuning.
I just got this on pc, so this guide is helpful. What I like most about the early game is that there's no pressure to be great at it. I've played all kinds of games, but I've never been any good at racing games. It seems like I can just play this to have fun and relax while the kids are sleeping.
My biggest tip is to learn how to drive without driving assists. I still use the clutch because I play with a controller, but other than that everything else has been turned off. You have much more and better control over your car that way. It might be a bit tricky at first but itâs a lot better in the long run. Youâll also earn more money
just got the game with the ultimate ediition on sale right now for $35 instead of $99. i just prefer the landscape in fh4
Bought the Ultimate Addons bundle and playing the base game from gamepass, so overwhelmed!
Wow Iâm surprised at how useful and good this video was keep it up man!
I play this game since it released and I watched the whole video. Great starter guide!
this mans smart uploaded this when steam edition came in bc he knows all the new starters will check this i like his Strat
This is a awesome video, thank you. watched some people stream it and it looked overwhelming but i look forward to trying it out on pc now.
Just getting into Fortza after, finally, getting a XSX! Thanks for this guide. Only halfway through the tutorial year but loving the game so far!
Awesome guide! FH5 has me hyped so jumping in to FH4 and loving it so far. Iâll check some more your stuff once I get my feet wet. Thanks buddy đ
I started playing forza 4 around January after I got forza with my g920 racing wheel and shifter. Itâs been a blast I love this game
This guy is AMAZING he is so helpful I hope everyone gives him a try and watch at least a few of his vids because they are SOOOO helpful!
Thank you for this great content! It helped me figure out what i should do in the game!
My in-game goal is to collect every single vehicle in the game starting from oldest to newest and upgrade them to their fullest potential with tuning and using only original Engine/Turbo/Drivetrain. (minus the limited edition/dlc ones). I'm currently in the mid-60's.
Weird and niche, I know, but I have this weird OCD obsession in video games that I don't have anywhere else.
One tip: when looking for barn finds look for a thicket of trees usually in a circle or oval and if you canât see through them you got yourself a barn find
just look online as to where it is that's what I've done for years
This is fantastic! Thank you.
So glad you have been back
Definitely a good deal! Thanks for posting this video!!
Thank you for this, probably the nicest video I've seen on starting Forza Horizon 4!
Even as a seasoned Forza Horizon 4 gamer, I still found something to learn, particularly in the upgrades section :)
playing for some time and this was very helpful. Thanks!
I've actually been playing the steam version for a month now and this is a very good guide. Listen to everything this guy says if you're new!
Also I recently encountered an error that stops me from playing Xbox games online on my pc and microsoft support has been very unreliable in helping me fix this problem so I'm kinda sad that I will miss out on the forzathon live events and auction house things. R.I.P will miss this amazing community
Thanks for the great guide! I found it very helpful, and will probably refer back to it as I forget stuff ;-)
I've had FH4 for about 6 months on PC, but I couldn't get my multi device setup to detect and work properly.
I watched some FailRace races and thought I'd give it another go, and to my great surprise, everything detected and worked properly! I suck with a controller, so it's great great to be using my sim rig setup for something fun instead of something serious!
Play this on my nephew's Xbox so I'm new sort of but I learn games fast, this vid helps so thank you
Iâve been playing since FH1 and I wanted to see what kind of tips you would give. You did good. đđ»
Useful and no bullshit guide.
Great tips, thank you!
As a someone who is playing FH4 for 2 or so months - yes, it is totally worth your money and community is fun and welcoming.
I drifted around with randoms, I was doing 1 on 1 races, Forzaton live shenanigans, Eliminator and some fun playground games. I definitely recommend it.
Hey I just started getting into Simracing about an year ago starting with FM6 and now Iâm playing FH3 canât wait to FH5 đ„come out keep up the great work đ
this helped me out so much, thank you!
Awesome video. Just getting into the game and This helped me out allot thank you
Great info from a truly respectable player in the community! Great upload đđź
I just bought the ultimate edition on steam. Last racing game racing played was need for speed hot pursuit. I'm loving it! So fun to roam around.âșïž Thank you for this video! â€ïž
This has been informative bro! Thanks a lot !đđŒ
Thanks sooo much for thinking about us beginners!!!
I remember way back getting the Porsche po in the eliminator, that car helped me a lot.
Deffo a car that will help you.
Learning when to buy and sell cars in the auction will help you with money too.
unfortunately noone will know that you no longer have to win in playlist games in order to get rewards and idiots will keep rage quitting
I love that lmao
Lmaoo still see that to this day, like chill out
....thanks for this info
Good luck bros! This was a breath of fresh air back when hurricane michael knocked my house over. Hope you get some solid experiences like I did.
I'm new to the game, I've found it all quite overwhelming for the first few hours. Now it's just about coming together. This is a good guide, but I think perhaps a bit short for the complete newbie to the series.
The skill trees for the Formula Drift cars gives you 350K which is another alternative way to grind for more credits.
Thx for telling me.
thanks bro your vid hemped me a lot
I like that you made a just plain beginnerâs guide, even though you have other guides for things like tuning. When I was starting out, it was kinda rough, trying to understand the physics and tuning and all that, and something like this wouldâve been really helpful, for me at least.
(And it probably is actually still helpful now as Iâm definitely no expert)
watching this video while its downloading in the backround, so excited!
