    SteeveGMTECH,
    Thank you for the video. It helped a great deal, but I found something that might make it just a little bit easier for the electrical connector part. That red plastic thing was a pain in the rear, until I did this:
    Drain coolant, remove hose completely and set it to the side. @4:19, remove both bolts and let the thermostat housing drop free. With the truck jacked up enough to remove from the driver's side tire, you can easily reach the housing and wire harness connector!!!!!!! I have pretty big hands, and I could reach it with both hands and remove the connector with a short straight pick. If you do it that way, you don't have to deal with a jittery hand (we all deal with that in these tight spaces) holding a long pick and it'll come free easier.
    Use a flat blade screw driver to gently pry the connector from the housing. It doesn't take much force at all.
    I used a telescoping magnet to draw the bolts away from the thermostat, since there's not much room and that's a bad place to drop a bolt. I chose to put the hose back on after the thermostat housing was installed. From above, it's pretty easy to reach and get properly aligned.
    Edit: Yeah, you need to remove the inner fender splash shield to do this job. I forgot to add that at the beginning of the job. Kind of obvious though.

      I live in Texas, you sound like you know your stuff, if you do this for a living, I'm driving my 2016 Colorado 2.5 truck to you I have a leak and not mechanically incline but I sure would like to know about the mechanics. 👍

    great video just like my 2016 2.5 Colorado, but you didn't do a diagnosis where is the leaking was coming from, unless I miss something, mostly likely the leaks are either thermostat or water pump. quicknote: my 2016 thermostat looks different than the one in the video or maybe I'm wrong!

    Hey Steeve,
    Quick question I think I have a bad ETC sensor (Rad fan stays on after truck is turned off and temp gauge bounces from time to time) I also have a pending code P111E. could you try and tell me where to locate the sensor. Thanks keep up the great videos!

    • @steevegmtech7326
      @steevegmtech7326  Před 5 měsíci +1

      To be honest ,I would try the thermostat first , the sensor is in the back of the cylinder head near the firewall,not easy to access,BTW that truck in the video had the same symptoms, the gauge was flickering

    is there any videos showing a coolant water outlet installation for a 2021 chevy colorado?? if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. @SteeveGMTECH would love to know if there is an easy way of doing this or if there is a process that is available. The coolant outlet is located at the back of the engine. thanks in advance.

      If follow the instructions through and through it might be a faulty thermostat out of the box
