- Hi everyone! This book is amazing!!! OMG. For the first time ever, and probably only time, the beach boys did a book about themselves! Dennis and Carl are equally represented too, it's so beautiful! I have the standard version (as there were deluxe versions made with plastic from the ocean floor, and deluxe covers) but it really doesnt matter, what matters is having the book and being a fan! I will treasure this for the rest of my life!!! Beach boys music will live forever!
ps- I think Mrs Emily Love, Mike's mom looks 1950s glam! It was not an insult. because I think she could have been one of those models for ads!!
Dennis is my fav,sad as he said,never found the love he was looking for.😊
This book is a great book to have, if you are a Beach Boys fan. What is interesting, is that it does not cover any of their personal lives. It is completely band and music focused.

And i always liked how more rockish edgier and cooler Dennis was and looked during those times then the others. You sold me. Not that it took much being a fan for so many years. 😊 I was listening to the beach boys about the same time as kiss. Here i come Amazon! Enjoyed it. You Rock!

I just got my copy yesterday! Book is massive😆 I'm a fairly new Beach Boys fan. I've heard most of their hits throughout the years, but now I'm finally diving into their vast discography👌🏻 Can't wait to dive into the book🏊♂️🏄♂️

Epic!!! I think this book is going to go down in history as one of the most important tools to understanding the beach boys! I've been a fan since 2003, always say The Beach Boys are the first band I discovered on my own without the help of my parents (we didn't own any of their cds, despite my parents growing up in the 60s/70s) or another adult or the internet! All the other bands I got into were because of my mom- 70s hard rock, Kiss, Acdc, Aerosmith, alice cooper, etc and 80s stuff like poison and def leppard etc. My mom gave me a musical education!
Really looks great. I'm a little disappointed with no David Marks. Hope he at least has a paragraph inside. I think he was way more talented than Al, but I guess it all worked out as it did for a reason. Thanks for the video.
He does chime in when necessary making comments about growing up across the street, joining the band and leaving the band. Thanks for watching!

This book is very weird -- DAVID MARKS was not in the book. HE was a beach boys for the first 4 albums. This is a travesty !!
He does have some contributions, as he is quoted where he fits into the timeline
David Marks is in the book for the time for when he was with the band. There are many, many quotes by him and many photographs of him.
