  • The Automated lab track system goes live at the QEII. This system became a reality thanks to the generosity of QEII Foundation donors and funding from the Department of Health and Wellness. With an overall cost of approximately $4-million, donors provided $1.1-million in funding. Thank you to the donors who helped make this happen.

Is the track able to load samples onto the Sysmex and ACL TOPs? Or only the Architects?

Thank you for your question! The automated track system is connected to both the systems noted above, that being the Sysmex and ACL TOPs. Connection to these devices is seamless. Seamless in that it is all automated, there are different components used to facilitate the connection from the main track to the analyzers but all is all seamlessly integrated and automated.
