DAYS GONE - USING THE NERO SITE TO DESTROY THE SAWMILL HORDE - PART 2

- Hi folks, on Part 2 of my Nero Site takeout method, I am going to show that there is another very clever way to access the area of the Nero Site you need to be in, without having to launch the bike into the site (although it is a lot of fun). This simply means that you are no longer limited by the limitations of the bike, so anyone can now take out the Sawmill Horde easily as soon as you reach Lost Lake. Special thanks have to go to @greyghostgamerz for coming up with this very clever method of accessing the site. As well as showing this, I will also show on this video how to safely exit the site (with the Bike). I hope you all enjoy the video.

I had a little laugh to myself when I saw that last tip on how to get the bike out of the NERO site. I had forgotten about that little "recover bike" mechanic in the game. Now tell me who are the unlucky Lost Lake bastards that got ordered to go recover the bike for him? Did Deacon just stand around watching while they struggled over the chain link fence and piles of freaker bodies, muscled the bike off the top of the tent, and opened the NERO doors to get the bike through?
Absolutley LMAO TC. These guys when they got there orders, must have been writing their wills before leaving Lost Lake, or f^%&$!g off to Copelands camp thinking "you can shove this Lost Lake gig up your a*^e", lol. Absolutely crease me up with you're comments every time my friend.
I accidentally came accros this hord and got absolutely wrecked 😂. So brushed myself off, got every throwable resource i could get and winged it, just ran alot getting high ground as much as i could and used molotov, grenade and a couple of mines. Its a very hard run if you do like i did and just stumbled upon them, so next run going to be more methodical about it. As always great upload that had everything apart from them throwing a kitchen sink 😂 GGs
Good for you lad

Well thankyou me ole mucker.
The first time I met this horde, I took the chicken s%^t option and made several runs to lure them out of the sawmill and into the nearby train tunnel, and I eventually got them all, but took around 20 mins as I always had the bike on the other side and I used it every time. I was not quite so brave back then DD, lol. It's all good though however you get the job done DD. I wish you all the best & thank you for watching mate.
I'm a PC user and have not had any issues getting up the tent. Thanks for the video, Boris. Keep riding!
Thank you for that AC, and I will my friend.
The MASTER of Days Gone has a name... and his name is Borislav 🤘🏻👏🏻
Lol, thank you Samuca. You are very kind indeed.
Great accent, Mate. Love your enthusiasm and channel content. Days Gone and Witcher 3 are my two fav games. I've just finished DG for the umpteenth time and am now trying out some of your strategies.
Well I wish you all the best with your next playthrough, and thank you for watching my content, most appreciated.
Top video!! Struggled with this so close at time but always ammo done me! Had no time to load up at bike even though I knew I was gonna get whacked 😂👌🏼
Thank you Andrew. This one just takes a bit of practice with the setup, but great once you get on that tent.
Thank you man. Your videos have helped a lot. I used to be so scared of hordes and with your videos I now hunt them haha. I think this will be my way of clearing the sawmill when the time comes.
Thank you for the kind words mate. The hordes get less scary the more you take them on, and this one is now a virtual laughing stock.
I thought part 1 was genius this is the perfect method to easily get in and out so I'll be using this method every time 😂
It's perfect to get the job done for everyone now, as no nitrous is no longer an issue. I still love going evil kenevil to get onto the Nero site though, lol.
The re-do as promised with new game play. I really liked this video for 2 reasons , ! ; action packed with the breakers , reacher , and screamer. 2 ; I was thinking the game had a grudge against me and I was the only one that had the extra enemies appear , but now I know that isn't the case lol. Just like you , I prefer your original method as it is more straight forward and beginner friendly. Once again you've shown us who's the boss. Splendid video ! 😊😊
Thank you FM. Honestly, I was on the fenceline about doing another video on this one, but with the new entry method that GG showed me, and the overwhelming amount of people (quite rightly so) asking about the exit strategy, it had to be done, and boy, the mutant freaker community made a full appearance in this video, lol. SO glad I finally made this one, and delighted to say they ain't just got it in for you my friend, lol. As always, thank you for watching & commenting FM.
I freakin love your content. You’re enabling my horde killing aspirations. Instead of avoiding them I now actively look for them.
You are far too kind my friend, and I agree with what you're saying. Seeing new ways to take out the hordes really does open your eyes to the possibilities of new ways to go for the hordes. Have fun TW.
I love these videos thank you for sharing again friend!
And thank you so much for watching Jennifer. Delighted you are enjoying the videos.
Being called “a fucking legend” by borislav is the greatest honour to be bestowed in the days gone community lol
Another awesome video! This one has to be one of my favorites. I liked all that extra action! Lol I see your bike is no longer green. Change is good.👍
Lol, thank you MM. Was a new playthrough I had to do to get to the Sawmill Horde mission with that horde in tact (as I normally destroy them very early), so I never customized the bike. Delighted all the crazy freaker mutations made an appearance in this video. Thank you for watching MM.
Great video! I had assumed once you killed the horde that you would get on the bike and fast travel to Lost Lake (after you came down and got the injector)
It would take a while to set up but a good video short would be to use the glitch you discovered to duplicate the petrol cans and litter them all over the area including under the tent
Great minds think alike DB, lol. It had seriously crossed my mind given that there is 2 petrol cans on that Nero Site. Could be a nice video a little further on in the future, and another great way get out of the site that you mentioned, fast travel. Nice as long as you're not on Survivor II difficulty of course (fast travel is not permitted on this level). Thank you for watching and commenting my friend.
Boris my friend, it's always great what you find out in this game how to kill hordes best.
I'm already looking forward to your next video. Best regards scout👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you my friend, very kind words indeed. The horde carnage will go on mate.
Excellent video my friend! Its far pass just beating, or mastering the game ... Your exploting those nuts a Bend Studio! Lol im still mastering my skill, then I'll set to follow in your path, Master Gamer!
Thank you Kahn for the kind words as always. I just prey Bend Studio don't try and patch this game or they will render a lot of my videos useless, lol.
@@borislav247 If they can find the time to patch the game on that level , they can find time to create more dlc! Curious tho, have you noticed they ever Did patch something you found ? And still, your fans will always tune in.. take care
@@kahnnooniensingh1586 Very kind of you to say Kahn. I'm fairly certain that they won't touch this game again as they are busy on another project & it was a LONG time ago the last time this game got any sort of an update, and when they did, they only fixed a couple of bugs regarding a couple of missions.
@@borislav247 it's people like you , SpawnicousRex, and 8BitTerror. My dream team that keeps this amazing game going ! Thank , all of the Days Gone community.. never give up..
@@kahnnooniensingh1586 Very kind words indeed Kahn, thank you my friend.
Awesome!!..Respect!!!
Thank you my friend. As always, respect goes right back MXT.
Very Nice! Can you work this into the challenges? If I remember correctly Black Friday was the one at Saw Mill.
You are correct about the challenge William, but I'm fairly sure you can't use the bike as it's not in the Black Friday challenge area. I'll double check this one though, and great idea William.
Great gameplay liked
Thank you CT.
.
Very nice ❤
.
Thank you mate. I just love showing new methods to destroy this horde.
No borislav you are a fucking legend, another excellent video👍👍👍👍
Got to admit, this was a god given discovery, and has made for a fantastic easy kill spot for the days gone community. You are far too kind with praise, but it's most appreciated.
You da man boris
Thank you M, appreciate the kind words mate.
Thanks boris for this strategy. Imo I put a little twist on how you did it I destroyed the hidden speaker and other 5 and left the small one on next to gate and did u also no that if your near your bike and cant get to it just fast travel to any camp and your bikes recovered and no fee
That's a nice one to know M, thanks for that mate. Have had a few people asking about the bike thing, and I've been so tempted to say "it's only a short run back to Lost Lake", lol.
@@borislav247 I finished game . Yes u don't have to be on your bike to fast travel either just be close to it as
I made the mistake of leaving bloody bike ontop of tent lol I thought shit htf am i gona get bike back now? as it was saying bike couldn't be recovered so I thought il get close to it n fast travel and voila spawned at camp next to bike hehe. thanks for chemult n saw mill horde vids they helped
@@borislav247 bro to fully clarify the bike fast travelling etc I just tested this if your within 50 metre radius of your bike (50m is max tested it hehe 51 m says too far away) you can fast travel np
Ye was a heavy freaker hehe im here now too bro. Btw how many hordes are here coz I wiped out a smaller horde here earlier when collecting a bounty
Just the 1 at the sawmill M, but if you get a screamer around this area on Survivor II difficulty, they will call a hell of a bunch close to a small horde size.
That was EXTREMELY generous of you to do, my friend and I'm overwhelmed by the kindness you've shown me. I only really wanted to let you know about the non-jump method and here you've practically done a promo video for my channel! 😱😜✌. Cheers to you, mate, for not only being an exceptional YTer whose passion and fun come across immensely but an amazing human being!! 🤯Couldn't have imagined coming across as fantastic a gent as yourself, good sir, on this YT journey! I hope you reach 10K subs in 2024!!! 🍻 BTW, thanks for showing the "3-door-open-method"- when I blocked myself in my video, I thought for sure I was a dead duck! 🤣🤣 I promise, one day, you'll get to hear my voice on the channel!! Still gun shy about it,...for now!
My friend, it simply pains me to see channels that are underappreciated, and your's is top in this catergory. You deserve way more views & subscribers than what you currently have, and it's an honour to give you and you're channel a huge shoutout. You're videos are so well made that they don't look out of place with some of the biggest names on CZcams. Just keep doing what you do my friend, and good things will happen for you. And as for using your voice one day, only go for it when you are ready. Don't let anyone pressure you into it my friend. And I'm delighted I found your channel GG, simply a 1st class channel from a 1st class guy. Never stop mate.
@@borislav247 Thanks for that! Now, hurry up with Iron Butte!! 😜🤣🤣
@@greyghostgamerz Lol, that's the 16th my friend. The big dogs are coming.
Another nice spot! Have you seen the one above the train tunnel?
I have my friend. The only issue I have with that spot is attracting the horde over to it, and it's not the easiest of climbs with the bike. There's parts above that tunnel where you can have Deacon standing and it looks like he's levatating, lol.
@@borislav247 yeah it’s really hard to get up there 👆 thanks for sharing!
I just did a replay through so I'll be there soon
They will be waiting for you LQ, and they won't know what hit them once you go to town on them from that tent.
@@borislav247 Ok I just watched the death train video the first method killing all 50 in 1 shot was awesome
@@libertyquest Thank you LQ. Always look out for those petrol tankers, as they will always take out up to 50 freakers if you can get them over to one.

Thank you Ian, you are too kind mate.
@@borislav247 copied your method other day from part 1 worked a treat . Posted it on my channel
@@ianmurf85 Nice Ian, thank you mate.
@@borislav247 top quality content you produce my friend
Do you get completion for the Sawmill Horde? Does this bug the Horde in anyway? This is brilliant I would hate to do all of this fun and not get completion. Cheers.
This horde is a strange one. If you take them out before you get to the mission requiring you to take them out (as you can take them out as soon as you reach Lost Lake), then you get no credit whatsoever when you destroy them. However, when you reach this mission (the one I am doing on this video), instead of having to take them on again, you will be directed towards the front entrance of the sawmill, and when you get there, you will trigger the cutscene that you would normally see after you have defeated them. So you do get credit for them eventually, but just not at the time if you take them on early.
Hi, Borislav, thank you for making the videos. I have found your videos exceptionally helpful in dealing with the hordes. However, for the Saw Mill Hordes, I think the Dev. has just patched it. As of 5th of May, 2024, the bike just won't get on to the top of the "tent" structure. I can get on the box without any problem. But to get to the roof, it seems not to be possible now. Just to let you know.
Appreciate you letting me know this mate. I'm currently in the middle of an extreme playthrough, and I haven't got to this horde yet. But I will check this method out again when I do get to them.
Great follow-up. I was gonna say after part 1 could you not take the bike thru the Nero huts but as it was something I'd never tried, I thought it wouldn't fit. 🙄
Got to admit my friend, it never crossed my mind until @greyghostgamerz showed me how. Has served me well, as I can finally incorporate the bike recover method with the map that I failed to show in the first video, as well as show a new twist on my method, so now, everyone coming into Lost Lake can straight up smoke this horde after arriving, lol.
I actually wondered if you could do that but never tried it.
Boris..... So I tried this method, putting bike on crate @ min 5:26 to get it into position but for the life of me I can't get up on the tent on the bike from here... I flip backwards. Any suggestions?
I do indeed. If the bike flips backwards, then you have too much speed with the R2 button. What I suggest is, first get the bike in place with the front wheel only on the box. From there, don't use the R2 again, simply use the left joystick on the controller to walk the bike up the tent. Doing it this way ensures that the speed thing is no longer an issue, so you can get to the top of the tent without any problems. Hope this helps LBL.
@@borislav247 I use computer. Any direction on that one? LOL
@@LadyBossLynn I do Lynn. On the Controller, when using the bike, the controls have the left joystick as Steer/Push. SO you basically have to go into the options and go to the controls for the game. Then make sure to bring up the options for controls when on bike. Whatever it's showing you there for Steer/Push, is what you need to be using to get onto the tent.
So breakers need headshots? Chest shots do nothing to them then? Beside him who u mentioned htf u learn all this? Exploring? area knowledge?
I disagree mouse n kb id be popping their heads off left right n centre with pad its a bit weird sometimes as generally pad goes chest height 1st is there auto aim built in? Mouse n kb is more precise so less running etc i am using pad atm its ok i suppose
A lot of my knowledge comes from playing the game A LOT, but I've learned a lot of stuff from @SpawnicusRex. If you ain't heard of him, check out his channel as he has some insanely good Days Gone videos (as well as covering other games as he livestreams a lot). And as for using the keyboard & mouse, whatever get's the job done for you M, but I personally prefer the controller.
@@borislav247 ye I've heard of him I checked out his 46 tips n tricks video and joraptor but I only seen your horde vids
I figured out how to get the bike in without jumping the fence just by opening the doors of the Nero labs but I just can't get my bike up on top of the tent. I'm on the ps5?
I explain this in a bit more detail on the first video, but basically mate, you need to line the bike up to run onto the box. You then start moving the bike with R2 (the accelerator), but once the bike has started moving forward, let go of R2, as it's critically important that that the bike is freewheeling when it hits the box. Do this and you will see the front wheel move up the box. From there you can get off the bike to start the generator, then get back on the bike and use R2 to climb the tent, or, simply use the left joystick & walk the bike up. That's how it's done mate, and I play this on a PS5 so 100% sure it works.
I followed the instructions the first few hundred attempts. I'll give it another try😜
Apologies humblest Obi wan. Walk the bike up doh! What a great way to feck them freakers!
@@davidandrew5965 Indeed David, enjoy the hugely one sided fight mate, lol.
@@borislav247 - why don't I feel sorry for them? Oh yeh, my first run through 🤣🤣🤣
