Perhaps the most difficult 19th century chamber music: contradictory and conflicting themes; unusual rhythms; dissonances, rapid key shifts. As a pianist, I always found the last movement particularly difficult - just when I would think the hard work is already done, the syncopation and off-beat accents drove me to drink! Overall, a very solid, good performance.
