    Very nice! You make it look so easy.
    As someone who tends to carefully paint inside the lines, I need to follow your advice to initially connect all of the various elements with a single wash of paint.
    I do recognise the difference it makes.
    But, without your obvious talent, it’s easier said than done. 😀

    How did you learn about colour?

    • @RobertMeeArtist
      @RobertMeeArtist  Před 4 měsíci

      I have been painting for over 20 years, certainly the 10 years every day and it is this level of practice that I believe gives me the confidence to handle watercolour. However I still find it a challenge. I tend not to worry too much about colour, I think more about the tonal values and colour temperature.

    How did the yellow and blue in the sky not turn into green?

    • @RobertMeeArtist
      @RobertMeeArtist  Před 4 měsíci

      It was yellow ochre which seems to be fine, maybe say cadmium yellow might go green! Don't mess with it too much and it will be fine.

    After leaving my first comment, I wonder if the reason you didn’t paint the arches of the bridge is because you wanted to keep the houses as the center of interest? Painting the arches clearly would tend to lead the viewer’s eyes away?

    • @RobertMeeArtist
      @RobertMeeArtist  Před 3 měsíci +2

    Beautiful work! Could you tell me why you didn’t complete the contour of the arches of the bridge? It seems to me the most beautiful part of a stone bridge is its arches.
