Reloop Beatpad 2 Ipad slot too short. Ipad dont fit in mixer.

Reloop Beatpad 2 slot for Ipad too short. I have the old Ipad Air 2 and it fits the mixer. I upgraded to the Ipad 9th generation for more memory and it still has the lightning port.
The new Ipad is 1/2” longer and it dont fit the Ipad slot in the mixer.
My solution was to keep the old Ipad in the slot, set the new Ipad in front of it and put a strip of adhesive backed foam in front of it to hold it.
It works great and I have my old Ipad if I need backup. Put the foam strip in front of the working ipad so it sits behind it.
*Put both Ipads on then stick the foam strip in front of them*
You can also use a piece of 1/4” plexiglass instead of an Ipad.
Ive used it and its great, doesn’t move around and theres no issues!
The white strip around my booth are LED lights, theres a video for those too on my channel.

Hehe, great hack man. Do you use neural mix on the iPad and with Beatpad 2? Do you have some mapped keys for activating certain STEM ? How doeas Beatpad 2 perform since it's ~8,9 years out on the market?
I'm just considering will I buy Beatpad 2 or Reloop Ready ... I know Beatpad 2 is a bigger and better built device of course...

Thanks. Ive been using the Reloop Beatpad 2 with an Ipad and Djay Pro AI for many years and never had an issue. I use Itunes and it pulls music from my library. I dont know about mapping or stem. I wish the Beatpad 2 had tone control and mute on the mic channel along with an XLR input in the back.
I think there will be a Beatpad 3 soon since the connector has changed on Apple products to USB-C. I called them and they said theres no plans.
I have other videos showing how to rack mount the Beatpad 2 in a mixer case using vent panels and velcro, works perfect. Also other ideas.

Hope you didn’t buy the Buddy. The controls are smart, but the soundquality is ridicioulus. What were they thinking?

No just the Beatpad 2 to use with the Ipad. I want the best quality sound that I can get using an Ipad.
