HI ANGELS! welcome to a very # extra room clean out! As a true shopaholic, I have a lot of clothes and shoes and bags and basically just way too much stuff. It is on my dream board to be clean, so I am cleaning out my bedroom! A Marie Kondo style cleanse if you will.
Like the opposite of a shopping spree...a clean out spree! Or just a very weird bedroom tour lol.

Literally have a pile of clothes I told my self I would go threw and as I’m sitting here on my couch the pile is still there lmao 😂 it’s just to much! Lol
As someone who lives with severe depression I learned something that definitely has helped me. Depression has some ugly cycles. The messier my room gets the more depressed I get. The more depressed I get the messier it gets. Also, there is shame and embarrassment.
Something that really helped me was budgeting out to have someone come help me clean every other week even if only for an hour. It was just enough that it kept me from falling apart.
You have the means Amber. Maybe, that might be something that really helps you. But you go girl! Great job cleaning it yourself.
True. And depression taps you of your energy and interest in anything. Writing this after watching, like 5 straight hours of CZcams, meaning to clean my room and film a video. I wish the cycle would end, but I've tried everything. It seems hopeless, but tomorrow's another day :)
That being said, delegating tasks really helps.

I’ve adopted the Minimalism method when I constantly felt overwhelmed with no matter if I tried hard it just never felt clean and it’s helped. I got rid of basically all the furniture in my room except the ones I use everyday. Got rid of 80% of my clothes, kitchen stuff, decor, everything. If I truly need it I won’t mind buying it again but I’ve found that I’ve had to repurchase like 3 things and it blows my mind. Good luck tho!

A tip from an interior designer, if you wanna keep your room clean, buy a "put later" basket, so everything that you took out of place and too lazy to put back, you can throw in that basket and when you're ready to clean, you can just take that one (or three) basket and put the things back. Now you can be messy and lazy but it's contained 🙂 also, bad news for you, you're not on national internet, i'm literally from Aussie and has been watching you since i was a design student 😂 so yeah, you're more like on international internet 😬

Girl, just try to 'maintain' your room/apartment. Do small things literally everyday, that way it never piles up and you feel overwhelmed. We all let things go from time to time, it's just life, but the fact that you're trying is a huge accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself! Keep it up sis! ❤👑🍾

Organizing your closet by colour is such a good hack/idea because it forces you to put things back in the right spot if you want to keep that colour co-ordinated aesthetic✨

One thing that really helps to keep the house more clean is to not only get rid of a lot of stuff but also to stop getting so much stuff.... I’m always overwhelmed with cleaning. So I did a shop stop. It helps soooo much!!! Plus it’s good for the environment 😉

Amber! Im just as messy as you are, believe me, and Marie Kondo has saved my life! Seriously, it took me over a month but I've read her book, watched her Netflix series and went trhough all of my stuff, all of it, just like she recommends, in the order and everything. It was my only real salvation and changed my life for good, not just my room but the way I relate and deal with mostly everything. I love you and you're such an inspiration for me ❤ I really recommend that you read her books (if you hadn't already) and follow her method, it works! Xx

If you want to cut down on the shopping and keep your room clean (and help the planet in the process) I always live by the rule that if I see something and I still can't get that item out of my head after a couple of days *then* I buy it. It really helps to cut down on impulse shopping. (:
