  • These are the proper rules for 48 stone 12 cup Mancala.
    The rules are as follows:
    48 Stones, 12 Cups, 2 Mancalas, Anti-Clockwise Movement.
    Turns are taken sequentially.
On your turn: Take all stones from one of the cups on your side and deposit them one at a time in each cup in an anti-clockwise fashion, including your Mancala and excluding your opponents Mancala.
If your last stone lands in your Mancala, immediately take another turn.
If your last stone lands in an empty cup on your own side, capture that stone plus all stones in your opponents cup opposite.
The game ends when all 6 cups on one side are empty.
The player with stones remaining on their side adds them to their final total.
The player with the most stones wins!
Making your own rules for the game is perfectly fine, just understand that this game has been played for thousands of years and has been perfectly balanced. These are the rules you should follow for maximum enjoyment of the game.

This is not a proper way to play Mancala. Mancala is a family of games, not a single game. These particular rules are very unbalanced. For a better game with the same equipment check Oware
