LINE is the technology of Korean company Naver itself. But it looks like Japan is trying to take LINE away. I like both Korea and Japan, but Japan seems to need to let go of its greed...

Japan should let go of greed by not forcing on share sales, but Korea should also take the initial responsibility and say their company Naver failed to protect Japanese user data. That still deserves a hefty fine to be fair, if Korea argues against a fine and not take responsibility by continuing anti-Japan sentiment then they will be on the wrong

@@GI876758 What about sony leaking billions of user data across the globe? Their database gets hacked almost every year, isn't it hypocritical? Do you think Japan would just give up their company if it was other way around? How can you talk about "anti-Japan sentiment" when Japanese anti-Korean sentiment is way more overwhelming and threating. Koreans only hate the Japanese goveremnts but a lot of anti Korean sentiment japanese hate Koreans in general.

@@gosuosu6977 Nobody uses Sony stuff on software anymore around the world other than PS account which is solely used for gaming. Line is used all forms in daily life from chatting, to payment and business and important meetings 24/7 in Japan, the data is more sensitive then those in Sony. Also they aren't selling stakes so calm your nerves. It will likely be fine or something else, but it doesn't mean Naver is right either way. Your 'whataboutism' doesn't change the fact that you are also hypocritical too of shifting wrong doing. 'Koreans only hate the Japanese government' is not true and only sugarcoat for some nationalist of the left wing in Korea especially some of its politicians who despise Japanese in general and are the same as the right wing' anti Korean sentiment Japanese' that hate Koreans in general. Someone like Lee Jae Myung for example hates Japanese people deeply. He is always negative about Japan in everything like Trump being negative of China. By accusing Japan as a nation they might think that its against the 'Japanese government', but its actually insulting Japanese people in general who in fact majority Japanese public have a favorable view to Korea something which is fact now unlike Korean public on Japan.

@@GI876758Japanese company Sony has a huge number of personal information leaks, 77 million more, and the Korean company line considers 440,000 personal information leaks a very sensitive issue, which seems to give us a glimpse into the traditional Japanese culture of imperialism and national supremacy that was loyal to the Japanese emperor in the past

condsidering jpnaese still uses fax machines and floppy disks, innovation is almost extinct over there and since they don't have the tech expertise to make something like this on their own its not surprising that they have to resort to something like this. pathetic.

Naver still needs to take responsibility either way, they are a foreign company and failing to protect other nation's user data is a huge negative in trust. To pin the blame on Japan for its harsh reaction is not really taking responsibility either

@@gosuosu6977 There is a difference between a chat app that is used nationally everywhere which are used in paying, discussion, meet ups, business and a lot of daily activity and an company solely for entertainment. Selling shares is a little out of step and should instead be slap with a heavy fine instead, but I mean when a foreign company cannot protect user datas of other countries from being breached I wouldn't say Naver is innocent either.

Japanese do not have skill to create app services, they use Yahoo which is made by USA, LINE by Korea, Webtoon, Pikoma made in Korea, Uber made in USA, and TikTok by China.. all of services they use heavily is made by other countries.
