I'm gonna be cautiously optimistic about Stidham. We've seen young QBs get their first start and look great for a few games until defenses start to figure them out. But it was still impressive what he did to the 49ers #1 defense. It was so nice to see a QB use his legs and extend plays instead of panicking.
My only argument is I thought we didn’t need the bomb in OT. We controlled the game and the 49ers couldn’t stop us from moving the ball. We couldn’t took our time to end it
Stidham played well, but McDaniels still seems to lose games with a double digit lead. McDaniels cant seem to get out of his own way. That turnover on downs in the Redzone was on him.

The difference is that Stidham has been in the HC's system for awhile, while the rest of the team is still learning it. A true evaluation of Carr who be to let him learn a system for awhile before he is judged. With an incompetent owner who has no talent in selecting HC's and GM's and does a do over almost every other year, no QB will prosper in such an inconsistent environment.
Derek Carr does not need to make $120 million in three years, to keep him would be the dumbest financial decision the Raiders Have ever made. The difference is that Stidham has been in the HC's system for awhile, while the rest of the team is still learning it. A true evaluation of Carr who be to let him learn a system for awhile before he is judged.
