Acoustic beats studio stuff to me anyday. You got to have real talent to sing with an acoustic setting. No room for mistakes or cover-ups.
Noticed since Covid, there's been a ton of acoustic artist shows on CZcams and Facebook Live that are awesome. You can really hear the artist range. The only one I've heard that I was disappointed in was Dierks Bentley he sounded extremely flat.

Cody is a SANGIN man. And his band are absolutely incredible at each of their crafts, not to mention those perfect harmonies on top of it all. I've studied these guys playing/singing for a while now, and I'm amazed at how they deliver every time. Cool to see this caliber of musicians all playing in the same room/on the same stage and have them put on a dang good show all the time. What a cool thing to soak in, sheesh

It’s so amazing and special now that Cody is keeping Country real and roots. He’s upholding that old school of damn good lyrics and a killer melodies that just give you chills because it’s SO GOOD. My Son is an entertainer, and was actually playing at a little restaurant/bar, and Cody was playing around the corner. Cody’s band members came there to eat, and when my son started playing one of Cody’s songs (he was unaware that Cody’s band members were there), they grabbed instruments and played with him. It was AMAZING.
Sadly, my Son is still gigging but has gotten away from Country music more than I would like. I’m hoping he’ll return to country music because that’s what he cut his teeth on.
Cody, thank you for staying true to your roots, and not playing this pop-Country that people are now allowing to pass as Country.

In 2017 Cody got a call with 72 hours notice to play Houston Rodeo as a substitute for Old Dominion. That night he was on the big stage and trust me folks he played his heart out and the crowd got oh so much more than they had paid for. That night Cody Johnson won over 60000 new fans. What a show what an effort.
