I give this show a 50/50 shot of getting a second season. The CW have shown lately if you don't make your numbers you getting the axe!
cw isnty gonna be CW anymore its up for sale so gonna have a diffrent ownership hence why they been axing stuff left and right.
@@rammur the sale has nothing to do with the cancellations since every company thats interested in the CW says they wont change a thing and that the CW will be responsible with creating and producing televise content
@@matthewjuarbe5826 i was literally regurgitating what i seen on a few articles about all the cancelations they had said streamin platforms and cw bein sold was a major factor so i literally goin on what i read i dunno really dont care either. most the shows i watch are still safe for now.
@@rammur but cw doesn’t even produce its own content. Warner and CBS produce everything on the network which is why the problem with streaming has become an issue. It’s a dumpster fire of a network and a lot of people are done after they cancelled multiple shows.

Stupid show made for young girls to watch. Dawson's creek set in the old west. This is a poor man's Yellowstone wannabe. Yellowstone is way better!
This looks good. I'm gonna watch mostly for Kat but the trailer caught my attention. As to the renewal who knows the cw barely has any line up anymore, so depending on it's future it may not cancel anything next year. We will see.

How the Walker family started...cool. That's gotta b Hoyt's ancestor or past life. I miss that guy and wish he didn't die. Hopefully he won't this time.
Hoyt died so he could star in Independence. This spinoff was in the works before Walker even aired. Matt Barr was brought into the first season so he could introduce the character of Hoyt.
I'm excited to see Mark Shepard in this! Loved him in Supernatural!!
Attitude of a Queen, but a heart of a Walker!
CW does make some odd choices. They greenlit a pilot for a Spin-off of Walker and this has the potential of getting axed after a season. But they didn't go forward with shows such as Green Arrow & The Canaries or Painkiller which can easily give them multiple seasons.
Exactly! Green Arrow & The Canaries would have been so good, it has such a strong basis to go off of. I am really happy to see Katherine though!
Arrow would've needed a bigger budget. And the active arrowverse fandom has been dropping in numbers. They're focusing supernatural people, its just the spn prequel, walker and walker's prequel. Its annoying, and i get it for some stuff but you cant rely on just one thing. Fuck em. Full disclosure im mainly mad about rosewell new mexico, it was good. It was cw good in all its glory
did they seriously decide not to go forward with Painkiller after that backdoor pilot on Black Lightning?? it looked like it had potential :S
well people can say the same thing about you. your choice is odd to me. I dont see Green Arrow & The Canaries could never survive after 1 season. its just arrow 2.0 with forced women power
@@hasan_1888 Green Arrow & The Canaries could easily survive past 1 season for a multitude of reasons.
1. The CW's DCTV shows have seen as profitable for WB in general.
2. The Green Arrow & The Canaries builds upon characters we already know and might enjoy.
3. Potential crossovers set in that time period could have interesting. A lot of people have been asking for a XS & Impulse spin-off.
As for the Walker spin-off it doesn't really build upon anything except the hope that a spin-off of Walker might share in the same success.
I may not get to see Green Arrow and the Canaries as a series, but this is one show with Katherine McNamara that I won’t miss.
Damn. Well, my expectations for the last decade and a half have been -9000. And I'm 28, so that should tell you something real quick.
Won't be surprised if it lasts half of it's season order. Won't be surprised if it lasts a whole season. Won't even be surprised if it lasts 2, MAYBE 3 seasons. I'm just glad we got it.
Would love more if it comes to it though. Like i said before, expectations literally in the negatives here. Looks nice overall. Kat McNamara killing it as per usual. Will look into it more.
Matt Barr is the best actor to play a complicated role of being lovable rouge and serious confidant as for McNamara she has the physical features of a southern bell but turn on an edge to dangerous threat
Sadly most stuff he is in gets cancelled..been watching Matt's projects for a very long time now. nothing Seems to last long :( Poor guy needs a new agency or agent. Really hoping this new show sticks around for him, the actor has potential and is quite great in acting plays characters very well.

Oh! Shadowhunters girl! lol Took me a while to recall where I remembered her from. I wondered what had happened with her after that series. When this trailer reached the attack scene, and her husband said, "It was probably just an animal", I was expecting something paranormal to happen.
I love Kat from Arrow and was so sad that the spinoff didn't work out. I gave Walker a shot because of Jared, but couldn't get into the show and dropped it after a few episodes. This looks interesting, although I think it would work better as a 2 hour movie or mini series. I give it 1 season only, but we'll see!?

I'm really starting to become a big fan of Katherine McNamara, first Arrow. Well I should say arrow is the first thing I saw her in. And now this show looks really interesting, I mean Walker with Jared Padalecki's pretty interesting but I'm used to Chuck Norris. I'm still going to watch that Walker with Jared Padalecki cuz I'm a fan of Supernatural. I just hope that any of the actors that I follow especially with all the disturbing shit that's going on in Hollywood that none of them are involved

With this being a CW I’d give this show 3 seasons before she ends up with the sheriff… I doubt it’ll get renewed for a second season though. But should be applauded for actually being an interesting and unique setting/concept for a teen show.

@Kathy Rose Actually & unless you already knew but the CW is currently under new management while its president is no longer its president. As for the “Walker” franchise but considering its structure I think it might be leaning closer to the older demographic which might even be why they created it before they were taken over since their new bosses preferences are I think up that alley.
But that franchise seems like one that could appeal to both the 56 & upwards demographic & the 18-49 demographic.
@@e.moonbound2420 I think more than likely but with their country, small town, down home setting they were probably created to appeal more to the older demographic since that age range is the preference of the network’s new owners & might be why the “Walker” franchise was created even before the CW being sold.
But they or rather this prequel looks like it might appeal to both the older demographic & the teen demographic. Maybe in regards to the latter.
Kate McNamara is such a good actress. Don’t really care for the Walker Reboot, but this looks interesting
