  • Ok, friends! You loved the last cutting garden plan of easy cut flowers, and you asked for another one of slightly more advanced ones to grow--so here it is! In this plan, we not only give you the layout for a 4x8 bed full of cut flowers (including spacing, timing of when to plant, succession planting for more flowers, and more info), we even give you the EXACT VARIETIES for a ready to go color palette of peachy pinky flowers to have you swimming in gorgeous fresh cut flower bouquets from your garden all season long!
Because we do this plan by the foot, you can swap out any of the flowers for the ones in the other plan (for example, if you are not able to get lisianthus), or just add more of one of the other blooms in the plan!
If you want to make it even easier, we have a mix that's in this same color palette already assembled and ready to go--head to this link to snag one!

Thank you for making these two garden plan videos! It is hard to find flower farmers providing a square foot gardening perspective! ❤Love that!❤.
I’ve been flower gardening for 3 years, and your spacings are challenging me to push the limits and plant more closely together.
I benefit enormously from your channel! Thanks for all that you provide!😊
I’ve started my Lisianthes from seed for the first time this year back in December and have had great germination and seedling success.👏🏻 I gained such confidence in watching your videos! So thankful for you!🥰

I'm so happy that your Lisianthus germinated so well! Can I ask you what trays, seed starting brand and what kind of grow lights you used? I'm trying it right now with Roseanne Brown & Voyage Champagne in a 72 cell self watering tray from Burpee. I'm using a heat mat from Amazon and 2 grow lights from Lowes. I hope my seeds didn't dry out. 😢 I've been spraying them 1x/day sometimes 2x/day since we are so dry here in Western CO. Happy Gardening! 😊

This video was so, so helpful. I have three 4'x8' beds at a community garden where mostly vegetables are grown. This year, early spring, I dedicated one bed for cut flower bed with your help. It is working out so well. I believe I will fall sow for a cool season bed, and a second one will be saved for a summer flowering bed. :) The cut flowers are so rewarding and less time consuming. Bye bye to hours of spraying, weeding, watering and preserving. The flowers are so easy. Here I come farmer's market. Thank you.

Thank for for these wonderful and practical plans! Some of the best I have seen for a home gardener, with great tips for spacing, etc. I have had a cutting patch for 3 years, and I keep expanding it every year. My yard does not have much full sun, so I've expanded into a part shade area. I've had good luck growing foxgloves, ageratum, calendula, honeywort and even snapdragons on the part shade side of the bed. There are lots of people like me who love growing cut flowers but have limited sun. I'd love to see a plan that incorporates some cutting flowers that can thrive in part shade, either on half the bed. like mine, or focussing on all part shade. Thanks for great content!

This was a great video. I’m a third year hobby grower in Denver and have never had “a plan”. While winging it previously has been ok… I’m wanting to learn and improve and have better results for the efforts. My biggest challenge in my area are the abundance of rabbits!!!! I lost soooooo many of my seedlings last year because of them 😢. So working on better mediation/protection fencing for the garden areas that doesn’t look like a fortress, lol. Our late frost also didn’t help. I started lisianthus for the first time this year and very excited and hopeful. I’ve had awesome germination and plants look heathy. I also am trying ranunculus but not sure where I should plant them, timing and if I need to cover them etc…. Most videos I’ve found are either different zones, or have more commercial set up with large greenhouse/hoophouse. Does anyone in Denver grow these successfully?

The issue I'm having with my layout is the sun and wanting to have the centre of the bed be the focal point yet still being able to manage the sun/shade on the east side of the bed. Besides using plants that will tolerate shade (ie. coleus is in my collection) are there others you can recommend in this case?
