My Pop introduced me to this one word and I will never forget it, I am 70 years old now and my Pop is long gone. Thanks for that one Pop.
The word is “tough”. Look it up. “Strong and durable; not easily broken or cut, not brittle or tender.” “Capable of great endurance; sturdy; hardy.” This to me is the very definition of being a man. Respect for your fellow creatures and never be afraid to call a lier a lier to there face. Lying I consider being a major breach in any interaction with humans. Lie to me once we are done.

I wanted to take a minute to thank you for your chain sharpening video's. The difference is night and day the way my saws cut through a piece of wood. I've tried every gizmo and gadget and came to the realization that they are mostly a crutch and the lowly file does the best job. Once I spent the time to get a good straight stroke and know what to look for, WOW! Chunks are flying. I have several saws, some are cheep home owner saws and some pro grade, and they are all awesome tools to get the job done now. Thanks again!

Interesting how regionally names for tools vary. In Maine my grampa used 2 different pulp hooks. The first was called a birch hook. It was made from round stock was very sharp. They used them to toss white birch for the tooth pick mill. The big risk was the hook diving into a punky heart wood and wouldnt let go on the toss. The other pulp hook was usually made from flat stock ground to a point on the end. I have one of each that he passed down to me. Kinda cool!

I find a pickaroon pretty handy rolling logs on a firewood pile or dragging heavy pieces back so you have room to cut again. Also handy if your picking firewood in the woods in some brush. Grandpa would always grind the tip like a sharp hook. Sticks better on hardwood. Nice for standing big pieces on end for splitting. Lots of different tools for different applications. A day on the firewood pile is a good day. Enjoy the content on your videos.
