A few months ago Patti Boyd sold her collection of personal items from her time with George and Clapton at Christies in London, included in the sale were photos of the musicians playing and jamming at the wedding party,Paul,George and Ringo are in the photos.
Eric didn’t invite him. John said he would have come if he had been invited. He traveled all over the world in that period. Especially to Japan. Gee, I wonder why he never made it to England? I mean, all he had to do was follow the advice of yokos various card readers. That’s why he took all those other trips. I wonder why Yokos paid card readers never came to the conclusion that John should take a trip to England?
I remember hearing about that back in HS. It was just a paragraph in the newspaper. Whenever I step back into the time machine, I still can't believe John's murder. Such a horrible moment in time.
John wasn't invited probably because of Yoko! If the Beatles had ever gotten back together? It would have been Eric who would of played in John position. Clapton would be the only 🎸 who could have replaced Lennon in the Beatles!
I remember this event was in all the newspapers and magazines in 1979. When the headlines read that three of The Beatles reunited for Eric Clapton's wedding, I thought for sure it would have been John, George, and Ringo. I thought for sure Paul would not do it, but I soon read on to find out I was wrong.
A distant relative told me there were rumors of a Beatles being reunited just before John was assesinated in late 1980... It was that close, if the rumors were true... Greetings from Puebla, Mexico!!
I read that Yoko vetted all correspondence and telephone calls regarding John. Even if John had been sent an invite, there’s a possibility that Yoko out of jealously, may of stopped him receiving it. She couldn’t stand the thought of John being re-united with his former band mates.
Maybe, as this took place in England, they didn’t think he’d come because, for some unknown reason, Lennon never went back to his homeland.

Lennon said in interviews that he wouldnt leave the US because he was afraid immigration wouldnt let him back in the country.
