  • This video shows our robot which we constructed to compete in WRO 2017 German final in Schweinfurt. The video demonstrates our improved but more risky version.
In the Germany final we came out 4th rank and qualified for the World Robot Conference in Beijing 2017 (August). We're very proud and excited... this was our first competition ever up to now!
If you have any questions about our robot, please contact roboteck@gmx.de.
Special thanks to our sponsors which support us to make our participation in Beijing possible !!!

you have taken white block also

Good catch. In this run the sensor wasn't mounted at the right place, hence sometimes white blocks had been recognised as yellow. Issue is fixed now.... please check our latest 430P video :-)

Have you used the line following logic to move it ? or set a fixed distance and fixed turns ??

hello i just wanted to ask that plz can you tell me how did you put the front grabber and and the color sensor below it and is made on the same robot as the one you gave the instructions for plz do tell it will help some people :-)

We have two different "front grabber" tutorials on our channel. I guess you're referring to our initial grabber (the basic grabber tutorial) which we changed to a improved (but more complicated) version for our Beijing competition. The basic grabber didn't include a color sensor by itself, hence we had to attach it separately. We only attached a long beam to the bottom of the chassis and then attached the sensor. Shouldn't be to hard to figure out hopefully. Please note that the color sensor in our improved grabber version provides much more reliable results because the distance between the sensor and the object it should scan is always constant.... which wasn't the case for our initial grabber... consequently the sensor did confuse colors from time to time.

hello i wanted to ask that which color sensor is more accurate in color detecting, nxt color sensor or ev3 color sensor? also have you meet an issue of the color sensor detecting inaccurate values?

Hitechnic v2 NXT sensors should be superior but we used the worse EV3 sensors for our robot. EV3 sensors only work reliable when there's a fixed, non-variable distance between sensor and the object to be scanned. This is why we mounted the sensor a another place for our updated robot ... the version on this video sometimes detected wrong colors (e.g. black instead of yellow and so on....), because it's hard to ensure constant distances between the sensor and the object.

Hi Sanjay... please check our web presence after our Peking competition (End of August)... the URL is mentioned above in the description. Until then we don't wanna share it yet. But it's not too exciting... the most sophisticated part is probably the PID algorithm for following lines more efficiently. It's easy to find and learn in the Internet :-)

Great work!!, I like the claw of your robot, can you send me the building instructions or just pictures, I will change it and cite your work, thanks.

Hi Walter... sure can do. Thanks for the positive feedbackl. I created some"lxf" file for an older version of the claw.... but we have a couple of photos for the current version. Just send an email to roboteck@gmx.de and I can share it with you! Unfortunately I'm unable to figure out your email address, so I can't do it right away ;-)
