    This was a great video . I’m gonna have to try top down also but it’s so hard to get to bottom layers w the top in the way. I usually put the foam in before I dry as my last step after microplop but I’m gonna try it now after diffusing for a bit . I’m a year into cgm and I’m still experimenting w different techniques. My hair is such high porosity. I have to keep adding constantly as I style to make clumps it’s so annoying. I’m jealous of the low porosity gals

    Hi! I just talked to my husband about trying distilled water for refresh haha. I thought about it before but never really jumped on it. I might have to now! Yes what do you think of the Dyson? I’ve been going back and forth. I hoover diffuse and every so often will straighten my hair. I wonder if it’ll just blow the air around? Does it dry the hair faster? Is it good for blow outs like healthier? I don’t blow dry often for the health of my hair. I love silicones!!!! I use them in my conditioner and styling products. I do clarify every two days as that seems to be helpful for me. I’m also considering getting side bangs back too. I am having surgery Monday and I can’t do my hair for a week. I’m so sad haha! Thank you for your hard work. I enjoy your videos!

    I love your channel! I started off watching Gena Marie and quickly started binging Mane's by Mell and have been cross referencing a lot of what I see/hear with other channels and your videos were coming up so then I started making my way through your videos. I saw your last one when it had 111 likes (same day posted or maybe the next day) and was so cheering you on in your vulnerability and your lovely heart. I have been doing my thing and focused on other stuff since and just now saw this video. I'm curious if you've ever used the OGX Argan Oil of Morroco. I have been planning to buy some Cake products soon because of your reviews, but was looking at the mousse even though what I want is a way to incorporate a little protein in my styling while using my otherwise moisturizing Jessicurl products. Anyway, I have been considering how to add a touch of silicone in a healthy way and went to the Ulta link to check out that oil you love. The price means wait for me. 😂
    Meanwhile I have the oil I asked about above and cross referenced the ingredients list and they appear to share the first one (Cyclopentasiloxane) and maybe the second (Dimenthiconol, though third on the OGX list), but obviously one is argan oil the other is camelia and a few other things. Pardon the lengthy comment, I just had a lot to say then I originally set put to!
    Lastly, thank you for your honest reviews, recommendations, and advice on your channel, it is deeply appreciated 💖 as are YOU 😘

    Ive been using the Renpure ACV scalp clarify&shine serum (after shampoo, before conditioner) every month or so and really like it. They didn't have the shampoo at the Walmart I got it at so I was only able to get the clarifying scalp serum. It's great because it clarifies and moisturizes at the same time

    I haven't tried the Smaskers method yet but the Curlsmith Foam may be a product I use for that :)
    I see you have the Malibu C products in your shower. I have their clarifying shampoo as well as the hard water satchets which I neither treid (yet) :D How do they compare to this Renpure ACV shampoo?
    I also hope that the spring will have a positive on your wellbeing as it does on your hair routine (and results! WOW!)

    • @TheFitCurls
      @TheFitCurls  Před 3 lety +1

      The Malibu C shampoo is DEFINITELY more clarifying than the Renpure, so it’s good to use once a month if you cycle in gentler clarifiers often, or once every 2-5 washes if you don’t. The harder your water, the more you’ll need to clarify. I haven’t tried the treatment packets yet either - waiting for the right time!

    Quick question - I also have fine 2C/3A curls. I always worried about using more than a couple products in my hair because I don't want it to be weighed down. You don't find that happens with all the product you put in?

    • @TheFitCurls
      @TheFitCurls  Před 3 lety +1

It’s all about finding the ingredients, products, and techniques that work best for your hair and creating a balanced combination 🤗

Any tips?

    • @tammystiletto
      @tammystiletto Před 2 lety

      Sounds like you’ve got a cowlick (I pronounce it as “Collick” but that may be wrong 😅) you can either try flipping your hair back and forth and readjusting the diffuser or using some curly girl clips (I got a giant pack on Amazon for cheap) and just keep that clip in your hair whenever you’re at home, driving, ect- just whenever you can so that you can kind of retrain how your hair grows. I do this to try to keep my Princess Ariel bangs.

    I’m newly CGM (since Jan this year). How do you cleanse your hair of the silicones? I thought they were bad because they lead to build up?

    • @TheFitCurls
      @TheFitCurls  Před 3 lety

      That’s a great question, and a common one from my stricter CGM followers! And the answer is...by cleansing my hair! All emollient ingredients - not just silicones - will build up if not properly cleansed off. But cosmetic chemistry has come a long way! Many silicones are water soluble, and the rest can be taken care of by very common surfactants in even sulfate-free shampoos! I recommend using a clarifying shampoo - like the one I show here - every 3-5 wash days just to really reset the hairs, but as long as you don’t quit shampoo you don’t have to quit silicones :)

    • @TheFitCurls
      @TheFitCurls  Před 3 lety +1

      Nope! All emollient ingredients - not just silicones - build up on the hair over time, but as long as shampoo is used regularly they’ll cleanse off! Even sulfate-free surfactants in gentler shampoos will cleanse sulfates off.

      Hey! I don't know if this might help you (maybe you already try it, I don't know, it's just what I did to kind of making it work, my hair doesn't like it that much either), I damp style, and use a cream with a lot of slip (no leave in or the mousse/foam in the roots), I put the cream how I normally do and brush it (I normally just put my hair in 2 halves, and not in sections because I end up over using the cream), I do all of the steps, but only put the gel when I'm going to scrunch (after brushing all of the sections, I glaze the gel and scrunch it in my whole head), and then what normally I do to dry it...I had to tweak it to look the most similar to my routine (with the exception of the whole sectioning) because it was way to much product for me, and my hair got so greasy and limp in one day (with my go to product combination)

    Hi Angela, as always I loved your video. Question, when I started my curly journey a year ago I always saw everyone start with a little leave in conditioner, then use a curl cream and then either a gel or mousse. But now I feel like I’m noticing everyone is skipping the curl cream part. ? Is that right? Do you just use a leave in and gel or mousse now? PS, was nice to see your smile, I wanted to give you a hug after your last video. Hope your doing well. Your so helpful to all of us newbies!
