I always use metal brush and coat with olive oil spray from wally world keeps my stuff lookin sparkly clean then when i go and grill i brush i hit it with a wet paper tower while its piping hot to steam anything away then oil spray that thang

Mmm the taste of gas. 😂just kidding use what you want. I do the same for my wood burning smoker. The grates that cover the actual fire just get removed since I was recoating them so often.

charcoal briquettes are 5x worse then propane as it doesn’t put a harsh taste in the meat… only use wood

I use simple green since it is biodegradable. There are a bunch that would work though.
