Continuous Autopilot - Enhance Your Long-Trip Journeys

  • This video demonstrates how our newest Smart Action, called Continuous Autopilot, lets your Tesla automatically re-engage its Autopilot when you are doing a lane change.
    This feature is convenient for those looking for more comfortable rides during their long trips and will make you fall in love with your AP on another level.
    To summarise. After you turn on your AP and the Smart Action is enabled, you need to first activate your turn signal, then do the lane change, then let your car automatically cancel the turn signal (or you can do it manually), and in a couple of seconds your AP will be back on its own.
    Using the short-turn signal option (where it only blinks 3 times) will not give you enough time to complete the maneuver, and your AP will try to activate in between lanes, which might be dangerous. So please avoid using the half-press turn signal option!
    Note: If you are on a Model S/X, or your car has HW version 2.5, your Autopilot will engage even when you are on TACC after activating your turn signal. This is the only option we can do for now, so this feature works for you. If you want to drive on TACC and never have the AP turn on automatically, disable this Smart Action.
    Remember to subscribe to our channel since we will post more videos like this. :)

      Also, it would be great to be able to disable the disable the sound when you disengage with the turn signal. So that you can switch lanes without any chimes. Activating the turn signal and turning the wheel suggests that the disengagement is very intentional, and as such shouldn’t require audible feedback.

      I think it's a legal thing unfortunately. There was a software update "recall" in China a while ago when the ding noise wasn't always playing when AP was engaged. But I guess since it's not Tesla directly disengaging the noise but instead a 3rd party company maybe there's some legal loop holes lol. I'd also love this to be an option.

    Hello, I think it's important to point out that not everything is perfect.
    I tested it and it doesn't work completely correctly for me.
    I reported it to Enhance Auto who replied that it was a beta version, dangerous, but beta 😢. Dangerous because after having chosen the automatic turn-off of the flashing, this option is only kept for a moment and resumes the option with three flashes automatically only when I use this button function. The first time it's surprising since the wire change is not finished and the AP is reactivated while you are between two lines 😮. It's very hot 😬

    • @EnhanceAuto-S3XY_Gadgets
      @EnhanceAuto-S3XY_Gadgets  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi there. If you follow all the steps shown in this video, you will not have a problem.
      Please look at the entire video. We point out that you should NOT use the short turn signal (3 flashes only) but rather than full turn signal (blinks until you complete your lane change).
      If you use the short turn single , it will not work properly.

    • @user-qs5fy2gd7g
      @user-qs5fy2gd7g Před 5 měsíci

      Hello, this is a Google translation and I also had to explain poorly what is happening with the s3xy buttons option. I'll try again.
      There are 3 ways to use Tesla turn signals with the steering wheel control.
      1 - halfway activated = 3 flashes, automatic shutdown after these 3 flashes.
      2- complete activation = continuous flashing until intervention on the steering wheel control.
      3 - activation mid-course using the Tesla option = automatic turn signals + automatic cancellation, at the end of the lane change.
      It was while using this 3rd method that I had some scares.
      Continuous flashers work great at the start of each AP session. After a few lane changes and without warning, this option 3 becomes option 1, that's when things go wrong and confidence disappears.
      You would expect the turn signals to stop once the lane change is complete, but they stop before, only after 3 times while the lane change is in progress. The countdown begins immediately and the continuous AP of the s3xy buttons activates before the lane change is completed, it's scary.
      This stopping of continuous flashing only occurs when the AP is active with the “continuous autopilot” option of the s3xy buttons.
      I think it is only possible to secure lane change with the s3xy button option by using modes 2 and 3 at the same time as I listed at the beginning. If this is not the case then it is better to do without it.
      Sincerely
